A 911 caller warned of further explosions right after the blast that rocked Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood and injured 29 people, The Post has learned.
“I’m looking at the explosion down the block. There will be more,” the unidentified male said, claiming to be standing at 23rd Street and Seventh Avenue in the aftermath of the terrifying incident, according to law-enforcement sources Sunday.
The bomb appears to have been a pressure-cooker device, sources said.
Investigators have obtained surveillance video of a person placing another unexploded device — a pressure-cooker bomb — that was later removed from 27th Street, the sources added.
That device was found by an older woman who was phoned by a friend checking on her in the wake of the explosion around 8:30 p.m. Saturday, sources said.
The woman went outside her home and noticed the bomb inside a plastic bag, then called 911.
State police secured the device, and it was taken to the NYPD firing range at Rodman’s Neck for investigation, sources said.
Initial analysis of the garbage Dumpster that was ripped apart in the blast suggests whatever blew up was placed outside the bin, sources said.
The blast pattern shows the metal is bent inward, and an explosion inside the Dumpster would have bent the metal outward, sources said.
Meanwhile, sources said investigators were “vetting” an online Tumblr page on which someone claiming to be “the NY Bomber” took responsibility for the blast and said the motive was a response to anti-gay “violence and oppression.”
“I did it because I cannot stand society. I cannot live in a world where homosexuals like myself as well as the rest of the LGBTQ+ community are looked down upon by society,” one post says.

Dumpsters are unsightly, smelly, noisy when emptied, and attract garbage. Now they are blowing up. Time for Pelosi to introduce the Dumpster proliferation and control act.
Could be Russians. Obama just screwed up by bombing the Syrian army. This bombing attack doesn’t help the left politically. Maybe Obama doesn’t like the hacked Hillary emails.
It may be a hoax. I hope a Freeper can confirm what I saw this early morning around 3am. I was semi awake when I turned to see the TV (I sleep with the TV on) and I saw a video of a light American African with a nail embedded on her upper arm. Now they showed the video where this woman ran. I swear they ran past a EMS vehicle. Does anyone know if EMS vehicle always park on streets. I found it odd it was already there when the bomb went off.
CNN reported similarity so far is cell phone, and model of cell phone (not necessarily exactly the same model). I don't think that is near enough to link the events. Cetain products are near ubiquitous, like black powder and nails.
Not that the Russians wouldn’t secretly be behind terrorist attacks, including possibly 911, but, in this case, ridiculous.

I don't think so. Not near as powerful. I doubt the incidents were coordinated in any way. Might all be allah ackbar incidents, but that's the extent of the connection.

Well, with the caveat that media reports are not necessarily accurate, it was reported as one of three pipe bombs placed in a trash bin. The other two didn't explode. The bin was small and round and the type that sits in a rack at the edge of many sidewalks.
I’m not sure what to think. Also the young man who was with her. He spoke and I swore I have seen him from somewhere but not sure where. I even said to myself “where have I seen him he looks familiar and sounds familiar. I don’t think the hospital was but when they showed that video and I saw the couple running and they ran past an EMS vehicle. Not sure what to think, like I said I was in a twilight mode. Half asleep and half awake since this was around 3 am.

It absolutely is heavily gay. Been so for a long time. And I agree, unless this person is totally off-the-wall, which many of them obviously are, but not in this sense, it's a hoax.
And it really wouldn't or shouldn't hurt Trump much if at all anyway since he's promised he would help advance LGBT issues if elected. He's also expressed support for gays in the military.

Oh, really? I haven’t read or heard him say those things at all. The only “support” I’ve heard him give homos is he wants to protect EVERY American from violence and terrorism. I would like some sources.
