Moderators have been banned from wearing earpieces during the upcoming presidential debates.
In a memo sent to new organizations this week, The Commission on Presidential Debates said Lester Holt, Martha Raddatz, Anderson Cooper and Chris Wallace would not be allowed to wear earpieces while moderating the debates between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, Page Six reported Saturday.
The announcement comes just one week after Matt Lauer was criticized for the questions he asked Clinton during the Commander-in-Chief forum in New York City — when he was wearing an earpiece.
In an interview with Jimmy Fallon earlier this week, Trump said he thought Lauer did “a fantastic job.”
“I thought Matt Lauer did a fantastic job,” Trump said. “And they’re trying to game the system by saying Trump won the debate because Matt Lauer wasn’t as tough on Trump as he was on Hillary Clinton.”
Clinton sent out a fundraising email the day after the forum attacking Lauer for not fact-checking Trump.

Does anyone have any doubt that the Trump campaign is all over this? They'll be prepared to do whatever they need to do to neutralize it and/or turn it to his advantage.
He better check after each break and have a vet check that there's no transmitters in her teeth.
I see it was already mentioned. What would be funny is if they could send a high pitched signal to it and watch what happens. Nothing that would do damage but enough to force a reaction and let everybody see she is wearing one.
First, a recorder on ALL of the four frequencies used.
Get the evidence first of prompting.
Then, a jammer - Set to “squeal” very loudly. Right in the second question ...
Hitlery is in so far over her head in criminal activity it really does not matter if she’s told what to say or not. She’s not a smooth talker like obama, Tump will likely get her rattled and she may go off on her own tangent.
Regarding her health, she does not like public appearances, being up there without her paid supporters, private nurse and scripted dialogue is going to be like a lonely lamb up against a ferocious lion in the same cage. I think the Donald’s approach to every subject will likely croak her off on stage.
This will not end well for her, ear piece or not.
It would be a beautiful thing if about one minute into the debate her earpiece started to emit a loud buzzing sound and her head exploded.
Just let her use the ear piece, record its use and release after the debate.
Don’t you suspect Trump has learned how to monitor it’s use already?
Maybe a tech question for the experts here. Is there a reason it can’t be recorded?
If Hillary shows up at the debate with an earpiece, I hope Donald calls her out on this.
I don’t know about the signal jamming, but that’s a great point with the audience. They want to make it sound like the majority of people think she’s making good points and support her - whether they do or not. The audience should be split among Trump supporters, Hillary supporters, and a group of undecideds for fairness. Who knows how the audience will be decided, though?
All Trump has to do is answer the questions he’s given with questions of his own to Hillary.

I agree, Wallace is the worst. Besides the fact that he is mostly on the same talking points as the alphabets, he will have something to prove (fox not in the tank for Trump). Plus, his usual officious, smug, smirking demeanor will likely be on full display.
I would suspect the Clinton Campaign has found the moderator transmissions are interfering with their transmissions.
But it sure will hurt her and reinforce "dishonest hillary" if it's common knowledge.

Trump needs to have his team set up a Bluetooth jamming device to interfere with signals or better yet, send a strong screeching signal .
All the mods are liberals and Trump is crazy not to ask for a couple of voting republicans.
