Moderators have been banned from wearing earpieces during the upcoming presidential debates.
In a memo sent to new organizations this week, The Commission on Presidential Debates said Lester Holt, Martha Raddatz, Anderson Cooper and Chris Wallace would not be allowed to wear earpieces while moderating the debates between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, Page Six reported Saturday.
The announcement comes just one week after Matt Lauer was criticized for the questions he asked Clinton during the Commander-in-Chief forum in New York City — when he was wearing an earpiece.
In an interview with Jimmy Fallon earlier this week, Trump said he thought Lauer did “a fantastic job.”
“I thought Matt Lauer did a fantastic job,” Trump said. “And they’re trying to game the system by saying Trump won the debate because Matt Lauer wasn’t as tough on Trump as he was on Hillary Clinton.”
Clinton sent out a fundraising email the day after the forum attacking Lauer for not fact-checking Trump.

I know right, it’s a total joke. I don’t know why he agreed to it, maybe because if any of the moderators were conservative, the left would scream and stamp their feet as usual claiming bias. I don’t think it will make much difference though, Trump can handle these losers.
I think both candidates should be checked for ear pieces prior to the debate to ensure no cheating.
That may be too Lazio-like; media heads may explode.
I’d bet that Trump & Co will take fail-safe steps to somehow defeat the earpiece - procedurally or technologically.
Seriously. I’m so sick of the moderators in EVERY debate being left or far left. Trump is going to have to justify just being alive, while Hillary is going to be asked if she had a nice weekend, and how it feels to be an historic candidate who has already saved the world several times over. It’s going to be sickening, and it’s unlike Team Trump to just sit back and take it.
Weird, also, he would have had such praise for Matt Lauer’s interview. I didn’t see the Hillary portion of that event (well, actually I SAW it, but had the sound down - I CANNOT listen to that creature screech), but it sure seemed like he went after Trump like he was loaded for bear and wouldn’t let him answer before piling on. The obviously staged questions and “gotcha” attempt with some statement Trump made years ago were also repugnant, and I’m sure they’re going to pull the same crap on the debates.
I wish Trump would just call these people out and start demanding some moderators from the right who might actually ask Her Highness something more challenging than “boxers or briefs” or to name her favorite songs from iTunes.
Speaking of the debates - we also have to beware of a trap the media will no doubt spring. No matter HOW well Trump does, they’ll all present their “experts” and talking heads and “unbiased focus groups” proclaiming Hillary the winner. Then they’ll try to spin her debate performance into a remarkable “comeback,” point out the great bravery with which she fought off pneumonia in order to continue to campaign against the nasty rich man and save the world from evil people who want to restrict men to men’s rooms, and THEN start claiming that she’s rising in the polls and will surely win the Presidency now - probably before the debates even end. Arrrghhh.
That would be easy to do. Scan the frequencies and find the one most probable. Then transmit noise on that same frequency. It would serve her right.
I wonder if they could jam the signal to Hillary’s earpiece? One of the other things I worry about is the packing of the audience with Hillary Donors. Are there any safeguards in place to prevent that?

Listening to a local radio show recently, the hosts were miffed at the RNC for accepting these moderators. The hosts lamented that the GOP always caves into debate negotiations like this.
Trump should get his tech team searching for her frequency then jam it.
He won the 11 primary debates and I do have faith that he will shine big time against the wicked witch, no matter how much her friendly moderators try to help her.
It would be funny if Trump wore a surgical mask and headphones with an antenna sticking out to the debate.

Just need to remember how Trump, a political novice, excelled against the largest GOP primary field in history and left them in the dust.
Trump camp didn’t. It was the RNC bowing to the rules of the Commission before the candidates were even selected.

I vote for a high-pitched squeal about midway thru her first answer. Blow her eardrum out. Watch the witch claw it out of her ear in no time.
Trump could then call for a doctor.
“Mr Moderator...QUICK...is there a doctor available?. My opponent appears to be having another medical issue.”
I don’t know think the earpiece helped her at all. It made her talk slower and more robotically, which made her look less genuine.
Do they make ear piece jammers?
Candidates should disclose if they have an earpiece or something else if that’s the game now.
