WASHINGTON Democrat Hillary Clinton has a 9-point lead among likely Pennsylvania voters as Republican Donald Trump continues to struggle among groups key to winning the state, according to a Morning Call/Muhlenberg College poll released Saturday.
The survey, conducted Sept. 12-16, shows Clinton leading the presidential race here with support from 47 percent of likely voters who say they intend to vote for her or are leaning that way. Trump is at 38 percent, while 11 percent say they'd pick neither of the major-party choices, and 4 percent are not sure.
Clinton's lead narrows slightly to 8 percent when third-party candidates are included, with 40 percent for her, 32 percent for Trump, 14 percent for Libertarian Party nominee Gary Johnson and 5 percent for Green Party nominee Jill Stein.

Lots of Hillary ads in NE PA as well — every channel, almost every break during morning shows and the local evening news as well. That’s supposedly “Biden Country”, but at least one county is polling +20% R over D compared to the 2012 election.
So I myself don’t believe this +9% figure. If Hillary is up 9% in PA, I don’t think she — and Obama — wouldn’t have been campaigning in Philadelphia three times this past week.
Not sure. The Morning Call is a Lehigh Valley paper. Don’t know their political leanings. And Muhlenberg strikes me as an artsy-fartsy lib college. Hopefully, we’ll get some input from LV residents.
The admit in their methodology that they got only an 11% response rate using landline/cell phone mix, and that after calling back up to 3 times.
I also don’t like their party mix. 47, 39, 11, 2
I think this year’s independent number is much higher.
They also have an MOE of 5.5%. That’s fairly high.
SW PA is going big for Trump. If they’ve undersampled us, then that’s as bad as the D/R/I mix.
If you print this poll, you could line a birdcage. Not much use otherwise.
Another commie lib poll.
“How can Trump be so far behind in PA when hes ahead in national polls???”
They’ve finally crossed the Rubicon in Pennsylvania, the rest of the U.S. soon to follow, there are now more takers than makers, another way to say it is there are more folks riding in the wagon than on the ground pulling the wagon. If Trump loses this election we will become Sweden. What will follow may be very interesting.....
Pirates demographic is broader than that. Koreans love them some Kang.
They sampled Philadelphia and Pittsburgh but it is the “Alabama” portion of the state that’s all in for DJT...
Morning Call/Muhlenberg College, WA,WA,WA, WHAT! is this on par to horhays bodega poll on 233 street in harlem?
The Morning Call is a liberal rag that’s big in the Allentown/Bethlehem area.
There are 62 counties in Pa. When they poll less than 500 people that's an average of less than 10 voters per county. Using those demographics I could get a meaningless poll result of Hillary leading by 30 points. This poll sounds like it was conducted by a freshmen political science class at Muhlenburg College and paid for by the Morning Call.
My sister is up in Lurzerne county.....said Trump is everywhere....banners, homemade signs, trucks.....this is just BS....
I didn’t see any link to the actual poll in my skim of the artcle...so, it’s whatever ‘they’ say it is..
He’s gotta win them both.
I want him to go for the win in all those states so he has plenty of margin on election night. No surprise losses that put the witch over the top.
Trust me. The Morning Call is VERY liberal. I worked there for a few years and was surrounded by homosexuals every day.
I also graduated from Muhlenberg and can tell you it is a very, very liberal Lutheran college. They actually did a national search to specifically find an African American to be their next college president. This is a college with only a 0.5% black student ratio. It is as white and liberal as you can get.
Thank you. I could not give “chapter and verse” for it, but I got lib vibes about both of them; the paper and the college.
This poll is a crock..why was Obama campaigning in PHILADELPHIA if the state is such a lock for Clinton? If they’re not behind or if it’s not close the ONLY reason for that would be so that Obama was guaranteed a friendly crowd for “optics”.
