Rex Harrison, my little guy, has passed at the age of 14.
An believable friendly little guy, for a Cocker Spaniel, he loved to give kisses, love and bring joy on even the worst day.
He was a funny dog who would, like a monkey, attempt to get the nits out of my hair. Never had a dog do that.
He was always patient, observant and wanted to whatever I wanted to do.
We called him Rex Harrison due to his black coat, with a streak of white in his chest and white paws...Like a tuxedo.
He was always quite the gentleman.
Pass on my friend and I will meet you in heaven one day...

I am sorry. I have always had a Cocker Spaniel, but after losing my Toby changed breeds. Toby was irreplaceable, as I know your Rex was.

Prayers up ... I know how you feel, we just lost our Chihuahua of almost 17 years on labor day.
But I know from yor post that your dog had a wonderful life, and you should be proud abouto that.

So what do dog souls do when they meet cat souls?

They both snuggle up with the lion and lamb souls.

After I posted this, something got stuck in my eye.
I think I wiped it out now....maybe...

He was a great boy.
A pest in the best way.
When he wanted me to rub inside his ears, he would punch me with his Lil paw.
Big baby...

So sorry.
Losing a loved pet, well, it sucks. Took us a long time to get over the death of our Lakie last year. We still look for her sometimes when we come home.

Do you think you’ll get another pup?
Are you going to wait a while?
After my first black and tan coonhound was stolen, I waited two years before getting another one. Even then, I felt like I was betraying him.
Now it’s good though, he’s a good hound, albeit a bit defective (he’s scared of cats).

Sorry to hear of your loss. They get into our hearts and it’s hard to let them go. Any plans to get a co-star for Jack Lemmon, maybe one you can name Walter Matthau?

Nice tribute to a lifetime friend and companion.
My grandfather had a beige Cocker named Dusty. Don’t remember how old he was but he was part of the family for quite a few years.
