Lets start with job discrimination. A study published by John Nunley, Nicholas Romero, Richard Seals and Adam Pugh for the Auburn University Department of Economics found that job applicants with black sounding names were a whopping 16 percent less likely to get called in to interview for a job than their white counterparts, even when their resumes were otherwise identical.
Housing discrimination is also an issue. A new report from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development found that when searching for a new home to rent, black people are shown 17 percent fewer available homes than white people.
The biggest issue is the hugely disproportionate numbers of black citizens (especially black males) who are currently incarcerated. According to the Bureau of Justice, in 2009 black people accounted for 39.4 percent of the prison population while whites accounted for only 34 percent. Blacks make up only 12.3 percent of the American population while whites make up a 63 percent. This means that the incarceration rate for black people is over six times higher than that of white people...

My great great grandfather’s white privilege was to come here as a poor German tailor, and volunteer four years of his life in the 5th Wisconsin Infantry on the bloodiest battlefields of the Civil War to make black people free.
This is simple.
We can play the skin color game, in which anyone who is not white is guaranteed to lose.
Or we can play the MLK game and stop treating people as if they are a function of the amount of melatonin in their skin.

I once owned a duplex, lived in one, rented the other. The rental rented for $1350 a month. During a tenant turnover, I received two applications from whom I suspected were Black people, though I never met them, only spoke on the phone. One had an income of $1850 a month and the other had an income of about $2100 a month on a job she had been on for 6 weeks. I showed neither one of them the apartment.
That was not racial discrimination. That was affordability discrimination. But HUD would undoubtedly show such circumstances as racially oriented.
Vernon Jordan and Ben Carson didn’t get named L’andrey and Dantaveous for a reason and it has nothing to do with being black.

black sounding names = They were named by someone with a attitude, which had a good chance of being transferred to the child.
Would you expect that an applicant with the name of “J. Farnsworth Kensington, IV” might possibly have an expectation of “White Privilege”?
An engineering applicant with the name of “Festus Njoro Kigali” might be assumed to be an Africa who busted his tail to earn a degree, whose parents probably sacrificed greatly to pay the school fees necessary for his early education and one who has a profound sense of gratitude to them and to all who helped to get him this far. IOW, probably well worth a chance to prove his value to your company.
Too bad liberals are so bad with statistics.
They are simply using the wrong population in their relevant percentage calculations, ON PURPOSE.
It’s irrelevant to compare the % of whites in prison to the % of whites in the total population. When discussing who is in prison, the relevant population to use is not the total population, but the total population of criminals!!! Since blacks (mostly black men) commit about 50% of the total violent crimes, they punch much higher than their % in the population.
So, to compare apples to apples, one would compare # of white people in prison as compared to # of white people who commit crimes, vs the same for black people. Otherwise the resulting statistics are as meaningless as the wage gap statistics that don’t take into consideration extremely important factors such as # of hours worked, type of job, level of experience, etc.
Lots of conclusions without foundation.
Every time I see the words “white privilege” I translate that as “white competence.”
And once again, insanity due to the chronic, no-cure mental disease known as liberalism raises it’s ugly head. There is no hope for these people except maybe a padded cell.

It’s about black ghetto “culture”, not the color of their skin. All things being equal, you won’t hire someone name ‘Shaniqua’, etc because a HUGE percentage of blacks follow that “culture” which is not conducive to work. You’re also likely to face a lawsuit for things like “microagression” etc.
If it was about racism and hatred of color, why do Asians have better grades and earn more than whites? Now Indians are beating whites even though many are very dark. The race warriors NEVER address this fact!
