With Hillary Clinton sidelined by pneumonia, U.S. President Barack Obama took up the Democrats' fight against Donald Trump on Tuesday, trying to quash the Republican presidential candidate's bid to appeal to working-class voters.
Obama, whose 50 percent job approval rating could help improve the climate for the Democratic ticket in the Nov. 8 election, rallied party faithful against Trump, a 70-year-old New York real estate developer, at an outdoor event in Philadelphia.
"This is a guy who spent 70 years on this earth showing no concern for working people. He spent most of his life trying to stay far away from working people. He wasn't going to let you on his golf course," Obama said.

Reuters should stick to facts and not report unsupported claims. I, for one, have heard no credible source establish she has pneumonia. We have only her word and that of her people. While for most campaigns and candidates that would be good enough...she and her campaign have already brazenly lied multiple times about many issues including her health. He is very involved, supportive and affectionate with his workers and many, many have stepped forward to say so. I cannot recall ANY OTHER sitting president actively campaigning for a candidate. Seems illegal in some sense. It’s got to be cutting into his tee times on the golf course. However, I have my own idea about why Hussein will stump for the Beast, given that they undoubtably hate each other’s guts. If the Beast loses the election, she, in a fit of pique might turn around and tell all she knows about Hussein’s secrets that the country is not totally aware of . . . After all, if it wasn’t for Hussein, the Beast could have already been the president for the past eight years. He OWES her for that.
