Republican nominee Donald Trump will reveal more details about his health on “The Dr. Oz Show” this week, in a decision that seems odd given the show’s lack of credibility.
Oz has been widely criticized for the dubious scientific claims he makes, but the show is nevertheless quite popular, especially among women. It could actually prove to be a brilliant move, because women are a key demographic Trump is struggling with.
News of the decision broke just ahead of Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s collapse at a 9/11 memorial service Sunday morning. Her campaign eventually disclosed she was diagnosed with pneumonia Friday, drawing the issue of her health right back into the campaign spotlight.
The Republican nominee declared health is now an “issue” of the 2016 campaign, and said on Fox News Monday he’ll be releasing “very, very specific” details from a recent physical. He’ll appear on Dr. Oz’s show Thursday.

Hillary is constantly caught off guard.
Hillary is playing checkers and Trump is playing chess.
He is living rent-free in her head.
All the media reports this 'pneumonia' claim as irrefutable.
Were I not many years retired from the media - I would write "the campaign alleges she has pneumonia."
BTW, has an actual doctor come out and spouted this - or just "her campaign"?

I’m no big fan of Dr. Oz, but millions of women, who vote, watch it. Donald Trump comes off as a confident alpha male. It can only help him.
Still waiting for Hillary to visit the disaster area in LA.
She can fill (or empty) a few dozen sandbags to showcase her strength and stamina.
Then it will be off to Mexico to chat with their president.
He seems to be big into grief counseling. Splitting up with Obama will be, for many Democrats, like splitting up with an abusive boyfriend that they are psychologically trapped with. Obama has done them no favors and has led them into counterproductive follies, but he’s the sugar in their sour lives.
Hillary's doctor put out a statement indicating Hillary has pneumonia. Same doctor who gave her a clean bill of health last year, and who confirmed Hillary's allergies after the Labor Day coughing fit.
Oz would prescribe the mangosteen-alfalfa diet for Hillary. g
Local news this am is again reporting the episode as a ‘stumble’.
Why would gramma expose her grandkids to pneumonia?
Perhaps Dr Oz will administer the pickle jar test to Donald Trump on live TV.

Definitely. This is a women's show and a sizable share of his audience are black women. This is political gold for Trump on several levels.
Oz will certainly have the largest audience of his career.
