Monday on NPR’s “Morning Edition,” ABC political commentator Cokie Roberts offered her thoughts on the apparent health issues regarding Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and the how the party could be looking to handle things if a replacement is needed for Clinton.
According to Roberts, there was already conversation within the party about such a possibility.
“The fact that it comes now when the polls are tightening and Democrats are already saying that Hillary was the only candidate who could not beat Trump and it is taking her off of the campaign trail, canceling her trip to California – it has them very nervously beginning to whisper about having her step aside and finding another candidate.”
When asked if that really could happen, Roberts called it “unlikely to be a real thing,” but floated the name of Vice President Joe Biden as a possible replacement.

I can only guess that the Clinton plan is to have Hillary as president in fact, Bill to be president in action and Chelsea to be president in waiting.

BTW, wasn’t it just a few weeks ago when the Dems were begging the Pubs to nominate Trump because Hillary was guaranteed to crush him like a bug?
I’ve also been saying this is a perfect excuse to miss the debates. She had to come up with some health problem to do that and this is made to order.
Not only health episodes within camera range, which are bound to happen a dozen times a day out of camera range, but eventually the Wikileaks drips will stick to her like flies to an unshowered horse. If the dems are only whispering about this they should be now be yelping and hollering from a few rooftops. But the first few to do so will catch the wrath of the Clinton’s if she somehow survives and cheats her way into the White House. They will be forced out of committee assignments, future appointments, and onto bread lines and enemies lists. Poor Doc Drew is the example of an unintended honest whistleblower. I hope the dems keep this kind of talk in the whisper stage, and Illary goes on to face the voters in November, because the public is not stupid and at that point she will cough off into the horizon.

Yes. Hillary needs to drop out and the DNC can nominate anyone else by a committee vote.
Hillary will exit the race by being “assassinated” by a “right-wing extremist.” No way do they give the people who are on to her health concerns the satisfaction of being right. Maybe they’ll even assassinate her body double. Yes, I know my tin foil hat is squarely on but I wouldn’t put it past this crew.
I can understand the Berniebots not being happy about being cheated out of the nomination in favor of someone so unelectable, but they won’t have much to complain about for not being called back to the ticket. Bernie bailed on the Dem party, having apparently already spent his 20 Pieces of Silver on that new lakehouse. It would be difficult for him to rejoin, after presumably burning a lot of bridges in the political arena, regardless of the amount of popular support he still has.
It’s hard to say how the Dems will try to wriggle out of this mess. They don’t have much of a bench to resort to. With Bernie drummed out, and Pelosi too old, and Warren unable to produce any kind of enthusiasm, their choices are thin on the ground. Maybe they could try to pull in Michelle, but she’s not really any more likeable than Hillary was, and has even less on her resume. Biden might be possible, but his accomplishments aren’t really any better.

Ask her (when she’s in a good mood) why is it that taxpayer subsidies from ALL Americans never help pay for any stories about conservatives or the issues that concern us? Why are tax dollars spent only to highlight All Things Liberal? How is that being fair or honest?

In my state, the ballot does not “print” until I hit the button on the touch screen; before that, there’s nothing but disorganized LEDs...
