Filmmaker, actor and outspoken Donald Trump detractor Rob Reiner says it is impossible to level with the Republican presidential nominees bigoted supporters, who are mostly white males who dont have college degrees. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the actor said that theres a very serious strain of racism that runs through those supporting the Republican presidential nominee.
And thats a kind of disturbing thing, and I dont think you ever reach those people. I think that theyre impossible to turn around. Its very disturbing because a lot of these racist ideas have kind of been dormant for a while, and hes given voice to them hes kind of unearthed it. And the thing thats most disturbing is to discover that theres so many people that still hold those views, Reiner said.
Reiner goes onto suggest that Trump supporters feel threatened by Americas racial diversity.
If it isnt overt racism, its this kind of a desperate attempt at holding on to some version of America that they think was there once. Theyre really threatened by our diversity, and whats so great about the experiment of democracy is that it celebrates diversity and diversity is what makes it strong, he said.

Projection is strong in this one...
The Hollywood elite forget middle America where the majority of college educated folks are not liberals.
Yeah...UCLA film school. Very difficult discipline. /s
The Village Idiot |
Naw, what he has woken up is a BUNCH of people all over the country, with all kinds of different ways of thinking, who had been so disenfranchised, ignored, and lied to by the establishment in both parties, that many of them had given up and stopped being involved at all.
Now they have hope...hoe of an individual running for President who may be genuine. Who may just do what he says. Who really believes that America is a great place and can be made great again...or another way of saying it is a fellow who did the same in 1980 calling for us to return to the shining city on the hill.
He has awakened a lot of those people, and I am praying that the results are the same as they were back then.
We desperately needed it after Carter...we need it even more now...and Trump can deliver it.
...and the Demns, DNC, MSM, progressives, establishment Dems and establishment RINOs are scared you-know-what-less of it.
Good!
You worthless meathead
Rob Reiner lives in Malibu, California
The 2010 United States Census reported that Malibu had a population of 12,645. The population density was 637.7 people per square mile (246.2/km²). The racial makeup of Malibu was 11,565 (91.5%) White (87.4% Non-Hispanic White),[ 148 (1.2%) African American, 20 (0.2%) Native American, 328 (2.6%) Asian, 15 (0.1%) Pacific Islander, 182 (1.4%) from other races, and 387 (3.1%) from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 769 persons (6.1%).
In other words almost 92% of his neighbors are white males or white females.
It appears that Meathead falls into the uneducated white mail category himself. He studied “entertainment” at UCLA. All he knows about politics is what he learned from Moveon.org .
In four sentences, he says 'kind of' three times, and 'disturbing' three times.
That's kind of disturbing.
Pinniped....
effing deplorable, I am.
Its almost like they are deplorable and irredeemable.
Anybody noticing the facist under tones here - they talk about dog whistle language - this is straight on Nazi speak.
Only one way to deal with us who are despicable and irredeemable - Look they even using salvation type language.
One thing is clear HRC hates us as much more then we can ever imagine.
For the record Malibu - beautiful, sucks - Just this very evening about 1.5 hours ago almost got in a fight with my brother in law who is a liberal elitest bigot. Who got very close to learn how far up the hill he really does live. People who live there and don't move are most likely detached, aloof liberal doche bags. People who raise kids there ... I can't even describe the insanity
Ignant! 📚😊🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
” ... holding on to some version of America that they think was there once”
Think was there once? We know it was there once - you know back before the balkanization that tards call diversity and America and Americans used to work.
Meathead. Dead from the neck up.
His best line to Mike was “Sticks and stones may break my bones but you are one dumb Polock”
Sort of prophetic, wasn't he?
