I would like to see them prove how the current living descendants can prove how they were slaves and how the current crop of Georgetown folks were their slave masters.

Give ‘em the university (spend out the endowment first) - Georgetown mostly just puts out establishment tools, and I’m sure those pushing for the billion dollars would provide a boatload of amusement in trying to run a university.

The descendants proposed $1 billion for the foundation, and announced that they had already raised $115,000 in seed money, an amount roughly equivalent to the price of the slaves Georgetown sold in 1838. So in other words they have 0.000000115% of their goal? Keep up the good work, guys. </sarcasm>

Who didn’t see this coming? Well Georgetown obviously. If they’re dumb enough to pay this a whole chain reaction will occur.

We demand a “$ 1 billion foundation”....that one had headlights ! The Jesuits at GU will definitely form a committee to “reflect” on that “good faith” proposal.

How about one-way air tickets to the African country of their choice?
Be done with them, there is no living with them.
To: C19fan
No one should be allowed to receive a dime of such money unless they first move to Africa, irrevocably renounce their US citizenship and accept a lifetime ban on entering the United States.
And any money should include per-capita deductions for the costs of black crime, black welfare use, and all other black social pathologies in excess of the non-black rates. (suspect this might result in a negative “pay-out”)

Now the descendants of those who fought in the North just have to hit up that foundation for reimbursement.

the use of the word “reconciliation” is aimed at not eliminating the payment of reparations to the descendants if democrats are elected. They will say, we didn’t get “reparations” yet.
