While Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump each generated headlines about comments made Wednesday night at a candidates forum, the buzz Thursday morning was more about a report claiming Clinton relied on a micro earbud as she fielded questions about national security a claim her campaign vigorously denied.
The website True Pundit quoted unnamed New York police sources saying Clinton was wearing an inductive earpiece during the NBC forum hosted by Matt Lauer. The website described the unit as the kind of tech used by stage actors in need of prompting to recite forgotten lines.
Two senior campaign aides, though, told Fox News the report is absolutely not true.
The frenzied Internet speculation was a throwback to accusations George W. Bush faced after debates in the 2004 campaign that he was wearing a device that may or may not have been used to feed him answers after photos appeared to show a bulge under the back of his suit jacket.
Bush officials rejected the speculation at the time, and Clinton officials now are doing the same.
In both cases, the candidates had to contend with suspicious-looking photographs. True Pundit published a zoomed-in image of Clintons left ear showing a shiny reflection purported to be a stealth communications device.

A memory-canceling ear bud? That could explain a lot.
ys, you have to parse every word from the Clintons.
Looks like it’s protruding to me.
In her case it could have been a BUD-lite!
The bigger story is that most people don’t trust her and if she is elected this will be another story in an endless string of stories where people refuse to believe what she says. So when a potentially legitimate need to go to war arises she will be hampered in making her case potentially imperiling American security.
That picture appears to be from 20:51 (give or take a few seconds) in this video

Watch the video around that time, step through it frame by frame.
I’ve watched the video with the sound off several times focusing on her left ear. At any point of interest I stepped frame by frame, for example at 3:30. I think its just skin shine.

I recommend everyone watch the video with the sound off. Clintons body language is very aggressive, at times she could barely contain her rage.
Technically that wasn’t a bud.
Top quality ear pieces such as the one pictured are called IEM (In Ear Monitors) and are moulded to fit the users ear canal, fit snuggly, and can be toned to match the skin of the user, and very little outside noise can penetrate. Thus it is not some ear bud from some budget big box store.
Musicians use them extensively.
Trump should say: “It’s probably not true. If she was being coached, she would have given much better answers”.
Does she actually have _hit in her ears?
:>)
One of those trust ear pieces used in Beethoven time
That fat caboose could hide anything aka wide load ...
Wikileaks confirmed she wears an earpiece in an email from Huma Abedin..it’s right there in the emails
Video pulled. Guess not everyone thinks it’s skin shine.
Hillary camp: “Don’t believe your own lying eyes, believe us!”
I'd put absolutely nothing past Hillary. Nothing. But at least one NYPD officer has to step up, on record, and just say what he saw. And we need to see more than just that one picture of the "earpiece". A side picture of Hillary's head would be helpful.
Absent that...you might be right.
Right ear before controversy
Left ear prior to controversy
The controversial left ear photo
The picture clearly shows that there is something in her ear that wasn't there in a different recently taken photographs. What's more, the left ear has a structure undeniably different from the right ear. She has something in her ear.
