A 32 feet long asteroid would produce considerable damage, but less than a much larger meteor which struck Chelyabinsk, Russia in 2012.

Russia gets a large share of these strikes because their territory occupies about 18% of the world's land area compared to 4% for us.

And if you recall, that particular object was closely followed/in tandem with another noted asteroid that came basically along the same path.

So my point is ANYTHING in space can have trailing/leading objects that we don’t know about. At least until we are hit!

Which is it? The article says 32 ft, then 200 feet.

As for the ten times nearer, that sounds like a Britishism.
