In the wake of todays surprise news that Greta Van Susteren had exited Fox News Channel effective immediately, chatter turned to whether it might be the start of a key man exodus.
Like Van Susteren, Bill OReilly, Sean Hannity and Bret Baier have key man clauses in their contracts that allow them to leave if Fox News chief Roger Ailes departed.
Van Susteren very publicly expressed her support for Ailes after Carlson filed her suit, for which Van Susteren took heat in some quarters.
But other Key Man club members did as well. Hannity, for instance, wondered, via Twitter: So why did u stay after such harassment asking for more airtime? If u had a new contract would u sue? I doubt it. Hannity also tweeted, Why did GC send handwritten notes with smiley faces asking for more airtime after the alleged traumatic incident?

I don’t blame Brit. If the Clintons murdered my son in cold blood, I would get the message too.
Laura Ingraham for replacement!!
Shes a big $cientologist.
So what????? Give us a break.
Grow the hell up......
I’m really afraid for Judge Pirro. Her and Hannity are the only sane people left at Faux News.
Very likely that the Fox News move to the left happens sooner than later with the Murdoch kids being more liberal/activist minded..reportedly anyway. Rupert wasn’t really a conservative, but he knew Ailes made him money. The kids seem more concerned about the content over profit..but we will see.
Trump has been rumored to talk with Ailes, you have Bannon from Breitbart.....Trump clearly likes Drudge and has even appeared on Alex Jones’s infowars.....as does Roger Stone.....there is the makings of some kind of major Fox challenger in that gumbo.
Cable TV is different now...I’m not sure you can get one off the ground unless you buy an existing channel and change it like happened with G4 going to the Esquire channel.
The only other option is to try a major league Over The Top streaming network but that idea is still a bit early IMO. Basically the Netflix of news.
You are assuming she quit.
Greta had no choice because she has integrity and a conscience. Gretchen was so brutalized that she got $20 million.. So brutalized by harassment that she STAYED AT FOX FOR OVER 10 YEARS. Nice stunt, Gretchen.
I’d prefer she goes to MSNBC or CNN.
Really? That’s some news there.
I thought Greta had a rather odd, stiff, and chilly persona, which possibly lent some explanation as to why she could appear to be so coldly “objective”. In other words, did she care at all, either way, in the first place. You know what I mean?
I think Greta did seem to warm to Franklin Graham, and I knew that her husband worked for Palin in some capacity at one time. Not sure she thought Palin was a political genius but she was hospitable to Sarah and had fun in Alaska. She seems comfortable outdoors and could have much in common with the Palins, for camping. I have no idea.
I hope Greta gets a nice new gig. I remember her during the Fukashima disaster. She would not them get away with lying or hedging on the truth about what was happening there. Tenacious, knows how to get to the heart of the matter. I don’t care if she’s Scientologist. I hope someday she changes that, but she has her redeeming qualities.
Greta’s statement said FN hasn’t felt like home for a couple of years. That’s about how long it’s been since she got bumped out of her 10pm time slot so ME-Again could hit the bigtime.
Continuing with the above, Hannity got bumped from 9pm to 10pm in the same shuffle - a less desirable spot, so he may be next.
The real question: did Shemp also get sexually harassed?
Sorry.
She gives millions to a cult = she deserves to be fired.

At least, for the most part, she let guests finish a sentence before interrupting. Unlike O’Reilly and Hannity.
Read please.
He wasn’t saying she cannot choose her religion.
Hes commenting about her choice of religion. Given what the scientologists are, a freaking cult, it’s a comment about her intelligence, her discernment, her overall trustworthiness.
She’s tiresome. Good riddance!
You are not sorry,no wonder so many good people are put in the same category unfairly as your ilk.
I am absolutely not sorry.
$cientology is a cult and you are likely a paid online shill for the cult.
May God have mercy on your soul. Repent. Find out the truth or be damned to Hell eternally.
You are in a brainwashing cult that destroys families and ruins lives.
Well that’s what they repoted on tv
