The election of Hillary Clinton would mean final defeat for American conservativism -- for at least a generation and almost certainly for much longer than that. The demographic changes certain to flow from eight more years of open borders, general amnesty, and distribution of the newly arrived statist voters to electorally vulnerable states would make the Left’s presidential victory this fall, for all practical purposes, permanent.

Well, if the #NeverTrumpers are right and Trump is a bad choice...I’d rather the USA go down the tubes under his watch than the Phlegm Queen’s.
NeverTrumpers want to destroy conservatism because they think America doesn’t deserve to be saved.
That matters a lot more to them than who is President. We’ve figured it out.
I agree with the premise, but defeat for a generation is not “final” defeat.

If Mr. Trump does not win, the peaceful revolt that we are seeing now could very well end up violent.
Even leaders in other countries in Europe and Asia had left a message to the American people it is this: Mr. Trump NEEDS to be elected because he is STRONG just like us.
Sure thing....just look at Venezuela....they are doing so well.
The biggest problem is that Hillary and crew will have no qualms killing everyone who does not agree.

When you see the difference between judges alone by Trump vs. Hillary, you know the NeverTrumpers are either Democrats, establishment Rhinos, or just establishment big government A-holes.
They do not deserve our time or respect. They are the bottlenecks of politics that the left love.

No one should ever use the word conservative regarding the Quislings working for Trump’s defeat. Conservative on what? Open borders? Trade deals that punish US workers? Amnesty? None of those are Conservative issues. They are Liberal issues.
The least they could do is come out and say that they are Liberals. And if they think that they will be “the Left’s safe and well paid critics”, forget it. They will be the first ones rounded up and sent to reeducation camps, if they are lucky.
I disagree. I think the neverTrumpers-—Jonah Goldberg, Benji Shapiro, Stephen Hayes, Guy (the Gay) Benson, Bill Kristol, Jay Cost, and Adrian Gray-—are all so invested in their 2015 “candidates of choice” that they still can’t admit that a) they made a big mistake, and b) that Trump can actually win.
Even this morning on Fox (”gollum, gollum”) Hayes was going on about how the new poll numbers really don’t mean Trump has done that well, only that Cankles has done that poorly.
There is also another big, big element and that is that these people all have a LOT to lose if Trump wins. Not just prestige, not just their “track records” (such that they were) but their insider status, their ability to talk to the candidate and the “camp” about what’s “really going on,” the invitations to the parties. Most of all they lose their ability to dictate to us what is “real conservatism.”
I do not think they hate America. They just hate America without them in charge of “our” values.

If the NeverTrump people understood this, they’d hold their collective noses and vote for Trump. But there will be NO RETURN TO NORMALCY, there will be NO REPUBLICAN VICTORY IN 2020. This election is for ALL of the marbles - the Democrat Party is no longer (if it ever truly was) democratic, it is totalitarian in nature. It covets power at all costs, and will rationalize ANYTHING to increase or keep power to itself.
Please wake up, conservatives! Trump isn’t perfect (not “might not be perfect,” IS NOT perfect). So? Name me someone running for office who is, or ever was - you can’t do it, because such a person has never existed and never will. But Trump is at least a nationalist, someone who is interested in a practical (not ideological) restoration of this country to its former greatness, someone who wants us to be independent of the rest of the world (or at least as independent as possible), someone who believes in energy independence, abiding by the Constitution, balancing the budget while reducing taxes and regulations, putting our interests ahead of foreign countries, and the interests of the American working force ahead of those of the rest of the world. How can you be opposed to someone with those views - ESPECIALLY in view of the only alternative?

The illegal alien inundation was intentional by BOTH parties.
They are not about to allow the citizens to reverse their population exchange experiment.

NeverTrumpers have admitted this is more about having a CLinton in the White House so they can hit up people for donations to fight her. They don’t care about the country, just their revenue streams.
In truth, “Hillary and crew”will simply ask for trouble, as Americans are ARMED to the teeth.
Sir, you contradict yourself. Defeat for a generation WILL be defeat pretty much forever - certainly for anyone old enough to read and contribute to FR. You, yourself, say that technology allows for a tyranny that Orwell couldn’t imagine. Well, people with that kind of power will NOT relinquish it out of the goodness of their hearts.
This will be permanent - Hillary will stack the courts to destroy those parts of the Constitution that stop her (say good-bye to the 1st, 2nd and 4th Amendments, for starters). That, combined with continued massive immigration from 3rd World nations that don’t understand or respect our liberties and an effective amnesty (with a “path to citizenship”) for tens of millions of present illegals, will make the Dem majority permanent.
Please don’t kid yourself. The Dems are playing for keeps in the ultimate game, “Power.”
