US Republican candidate Donald Trump has arrived in Mexico to meet President Enrique Pena Nieto. The trip is contentious as during his campaign Mr Trump has branded Mexican migrants "rapists" and "murderers", and vowed to build a wall along the border. He will face protests on his visit, with ex-President Vicente Fox among those saying he is not welcome. Mr Trump will later fly to Phoenix, Arizona, to deliver a key speech on measures to tackle illegal immigration.

I understand that. And if Trump says the right things his visit will strengthen the resolve of those already on his side. But I stand by my basic position...he should stick to his position regarding the wall, deportations, etc but sticking his hand into the hornets' nest by visiting there will gain him no *additional* votes and could very well strengthen the resolve of those currently committed to...or,worse still, those *leaning* toward...Hillary.
I hope to God I'm wrong...and time *will* tell.Immigration is Trump's signature issue and, apart from clearly stating his position (which I suspect he already has) it must be handled delicately because our population is becoming less and less a "melting pot" and more and more "I'm entitled to a government check"...and government checks are what immigration is *really* about.
He has talked about deporting criminals at once.
One comment I heard him make was this. “The police know who they are and where they are. We will begin to deport the criminals at once.”
His comments on stopping the freebies is another clue.
This guy has been talked to by Sessions and or others.
He isn’t telegraphing it, because he wants it to happen naturally, the self-repatriation.
“I caught that especially the hair. No wig! And her hair looked oily dirty like she had not taken a shower in days. She looked horrible not even presentable to the public.”
Don’t let it fool you. She will be all gussied up for the debates and the MSM will talk about how energized she is.
Everything for a reason.

While I am definitely anti-illegal immigration, from what I have seen here in CA, the preponderance of Mexicans here are hard-working people. Maybe we should swap our Blacks for Mexicans. At least we’d get some honest work in the bargain. A couple of weeks ago, I had occasion to drive through Salinas, CA on my way to Laguna Seca Raceway at about 6 a.m. on a Saturday morning. I was caught in a “traffic jamb” with all the farmworkers heading out to the fields to pick crops. Didn’t see ANY BLACKs in the lot of them! And yet, back in the 1950’s we cancelled the Bracero Program which allowed Mexican farmworkers to legally come here on a temporary basis to pick our crops, because Blacks claimed that the Mexicans were taking “their jobs.”

No kidding. El Presidente Stompyfoot has never acted “presidential”.
Funny how they manage to over look the “illegal” part. It’s not by accident.
Yikes! I look better getting out of bed in the morning than she does giving this Vets speech.
I know nothing about farming, ranching and running orchards and vineyards. However,we often vacation on the west coast of Florida in January in a town (Bradenton) that contains one of Tropicana's huge plants.Seeing huge trucks full of oranges is a common sight as we drive from I-75 toward our hotel not far from the beach. There are also signs you see nearby in Spanish...presumably meant for those who pick the oranges.Do farmers, ranchers and orchard/vineyard growers in Florida,California,Nebraska and elsewhere need seasonal labor? Probably. Is it difficult work? Probably. But part of the problem with any kind of guest worker program...either an official one or a defacto one...is our immediate, automatic citizenship at birth law,a big draw for wetbacks who have no desire to actually work.
I'm willing to pay more for bread...oranges...apples...and grapes if it means getting every single wetback out.Pay *our* citizens enough (and make welfare less inviting) and they'll pick the oranges, apples and grapes and harvest the wheat and the oats.
...Mr Trump has branded Mexican migrants “rapists” and “murderers”....

Um, no, he did not. He said that some of the illegals do those things.
Amen!
So given all that, who would have more leverage, President Trump or President Nieto?
The Mascara'd One and Sleepy-Eyes weren't helping either.
Is that Obama and Hillary? LOL
Could be, eh? heh...
Should have clarified — @FNC coverage.
This gets by admiration,...what a ballsy move. This is the kind of leader we need...a courageous leader...not that PC driven, cowardly, corrupt, evil commie running against him.
LOL
Thanks.
While the Mexican government would have a direct line to the drive by media *and* Rat Party Headquarters Trump would have the power of the pen.
The call went out for Trump to act more Presidential ... he has been doing the Presidents job ever since.
Between this, and the floods in Louisiana, hes acting more presidential than our current president.”
...to say the least! He’s made more pro American trips in 2 months then the dungbeetle has done in 8 years.
