I guess it is in our best interest that Mexico does get rid of their gangs too. But why include them in the Slogan?
They wouldn't do that if they thought he had no chnace. They are threatened, and they are hoping he bombs in primetime. Ignoring him will not work. They need to actively take him down.

the popping sound you hear is the “journalist” heads exploding.
Trump endorsed McCain, even though he was throwing up a little in his mouth when he did it.
Maybe it was a good strategic move. Now McCain might feel that he owes Trump, will be a good boy in the Senate, and will help him when necessary. I think he knows his opponent might have won the primary if not for the endorsement.
