For almost a decade, Ive been angrily documenting the way that many right-wing talk-radio hosts betray the rank-and-file conservatives who trust them for information. My late grandmother was one of those people. She deserved better than she got. With huge platforms and massive audiences, successful hosts ought to take more care than the average person to be truthful and avoid misinforming listeners. Yet they are egregiously careless on some days and willfully misleading on others.
And that matters, as well come to see.

If the Pinkos at Atlantic act concerned for the well-being of the American people, it is only because they are concern trolls.
Anyone who looks to radio talk shows as a source of information is an idiot.
Are you talking about immigration and Trump?
Rush might have accidentally added to the confusion yesterday, but there was always going to be an unspecified level of ‘touchback’.
Trump had been writing about our border problem since the year 2000. He’s serious about it.

Trump details plans to track illegal immigrants
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3463617/posts
I am going to build a great border wall, institute nationwide e-verify, stop illegal immigrants from accessing welfare and entitlements, and develop an exit-entry tracking system to ensure those who overstay their visas are quickly removed, Mr Trump said.
If we dont enforce visa expiration dates, then we have an open border - its as simple as that, he added.
Immigration was a central issue in Mr Trumps primary campaign.
Earlier this week, he signalled he would soften his immigration plans.
[The writers next sentence, however, is misinformation ...]
Instead of deporting all 11 million people living illegally in the US as he had suggested before, he said only criminals would go.
[Wrong. The worst criminals will be hunted down first.]
Frankly, I think Rush is treading water and trying to work out how he can best continue - or just liquidate and get the hell out. He hasn’t been one of the people out here in this country that ever struggled under Clinton, Bush, OR Obama. He’s made millions of them - all three.
As one of the real people out here in drive-by, I’ve chosen my warrior, and it isn’t Rush. He doesn’t sway my vote, nor anyone’s whom I can influence personally. He just isn’t on my radar of needs now.
How about a one sentence summary.
I will not access the left wing Atlantic septic tank site and give them a hit.
Rush has a topic for the show! He loves talking about the media talking about him.
Secondly, Rush tended to favor Ted Cruz during the primary. But he refused to torpedo Trump after the Cruz campaign collapsed.
Trump was the better campaigner and takes muslim immigration more seriously than Cruz. That’s it in the nutshell.
Rush’s ultimate betrayal is he thinks we’ll keep listening to ONE POINT he’s making each day for THREE HOURS!!!
Just listen to him here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xS5RAQ0198
Anyone who looks to radio talk shows as a source of information is an idiot.
And the only people I’m hearing is the host and a few callers, so it’s a bit like putting a hidden mic near a water cooler.
Not exactly the pulse of the nation...
Disclaimer: I used to be a talk radio junkie.
Rush Limbaugh has never masqueraded as a newsman. He’s a polemicist, anentertainer. Meanwhile, scum-organs like the Washington Post and CBS spew their lies and half-truths daily under the mask of “news.”
So tell me, who’s betraying their consumers?
Having heard plenty of Rush recently, this is my assumption.
The media is trying to make a mountain out of a molehill over Rush laughing off Trump’s alleged ‘flipflop’ on immigration.
Rush is enjoying the attention and egging on the drive-bys.
Limbaugh is an establishment tool. Trump got the nomination in spite of Limbaugh, not because of him.
Supporting the Dubai Ports deal was Strike One.
Apologizing to Sandra the Slut was Strike Two.
How he handles the high heat on Trump will determine whether I ever listen to his show again.
I doubt many people will load a video online. What about a few lines of text please? We’re basing this on assumptions.
In the early days G. Gordon Liddy’s talk show was very informative. He would read articles from various newspapers around the country that you would not otherwise have been aware of.
Today, with the internet, you can do that yourself. And in far less time.
Rush has a number of “firsts”. One of them was on his short lived television show. He did something that had never been done before. And that is a BIG deal when you think about the fact that it is done ALL THE TIME now:
He would show a video of a democrat saying something that week, and then show a video of the same democrat contradicting it in a previous speech.
That was HUGE for me. It had never been done on any kind of national or mainstream scale before. I LOVED IT.
I wouldn’t know. When I randomly tune in WJR in Detroit between noon and 3 pm, they appear to be running a three-hour Lifelock infomercial.
