The 12-year-old girl who shoots majestic wild animals for fun vows NEVER to stop

Serial trophy hunter Aryanna Gourdin poses proudly alongside a majestic giraffe she has just gunned down in a picture that sparked a furious backlash from animal lovers.

But the 12-year-old, who has a string of kills to her name, defiantly vowed never to give up shooting wild beasts and churned out the disputed claim that blood sport like this is a conservation measure that stops the decline in big game numbers.

Aryanna shares the images of her and each dead creature on her Facebook page complete with captions bragging about the deaths, despite insisting she “loves” animals.

In one sick picture she can be seen holding the giraffe’s heart. And there are now plans to turn her sights on big cats.

Her boasts about killing defenceless creatures have led to a storm of criticism from around the world, with some branding her a “murderer”, “evil” and “disgusting”. She has even had death threats.

I just believe there's a difference in killing for food and safety vs sport alone.

I hunt and use all the meat, both for myself and my dogs.

Article evidently written by a vegetarian - or someone whose only hunting experience is hunting cellophane-wrapped packages at the supermarket.

As someone pointed out, that giraffe was used to feed a village.

Why do think that an animal killed for a trophy is wasted and not used for food? You don’t have much knowledge about how it works.

Kudos for your comments. Okay, the giraffe fed a village, but that is most certainly not the reason it & other beautiful animals are killed. Killing for sport is the lowest form of a hobby a person can have. It says everything about a person’s character when they shoot an animal for sport. Congratulations dad, when your daughter is old enough to date a large population of wonderful young men will be repulsed by those photos.

Good question Ditter.

How many people were fed just with the money she and her father spent after they arrived?

Killing for sport is creepy, but hunt, and eat what you kill is cool.

And yet, just this last week has got the Internets disagreeing with that.

I figured it would be. Idiots rarely realize that they are, in fact, idiots.

Someone has to tell them so. And, as one would expect, the idiot in question is in fact enlightened.

So go forth and idiot no more. No thanks necessary.

Good luck.

One does not hunt in order to kill; on the contrary, one kills in order to have hunted...

If one were to present the sportsman with the death of the animal as a gift he would refuse it. What he is after is having to win it, to conquer the surly brute through his own effort and skill with all the extras that this carries with it: the immersion in the countryside, the healthfulness of the exercise, the distraction from his job.
