August 25, 2016 - Clinton Tops 50 Percent, Leads Trump By 10 Points, Quinnipiac University National Poll Finds; Voters Like Clinton More Than Trump - But Not Much Quinnipiac University Polling Logo PDF format
In the battle of the unloved presidential candidates, Democrat Hillary Clinton tops the magical 50 percent mark among American likely voters, leading Republican Donald Trump 51 - 41 percent, according to a Quinnipiac University National poll released today.
When third party candidates are added to the mix, Clinton gets 45 percent with Trump at 38 percent, Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson at 10 percent and Green Party candidate Jill Stein at 4 percent, the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University Poll finds. This survey of likely voters can not be compared with results of earlier surveys of registered voters.
Women and non-white voters propel Clinton in the head-to-head matchup. Women back her 60 - 36 percent. Men back Trump 48 - 42 percent. White voters back Trump 52 - 41 percent. Non-white voters back Clinton 77 - 15 percent.
A total of 44 percent of American likely voters like Clinton "a lot" or "a little," while 47 percent dislike her "a little" or "a lot," and 8 percent hate her.
A total of 35 percent of voters like Trump "a lot" or "a little," while 53 percent dislike him "a little" or a lot," and 10 percent hate him.

Fixed...
An outlier poll. Not worried about it, especially in August.
There’s no regional breakout
There’s no strong, moderate, lean on liberal/conservative.
There’s no number for response rate, for rejection rate, or for filtering rate.
There are also polls showing otherwise.
I am always amazed that there are actually people who support her. That boggles my mind.
I got in D 34 R 29 I and other the rest.
This will election will be more about voting against a candidate than voting for a candidate.
Well, I hope you would too.

Laughable...
LoL. Quinnipiac, Marist, Monmouth and other ulta-liberal colleges all are suspect.
I did a quick look searching for the D/R/I/L percentage in the poll mix. Didn’t find it.
Your mileage may vary. Report anything you find along those lines. I’m betting on a pretty lopsided ratio for D/R.
Had the same thing happen. Here’s a link for people who want to see all of it: https://www.qu.edu/images/polling/us/us08252016_demos_U88mxwn.pdf
Just a reminder, a plea even, for folks not to dismiss these polls out of hand. Trump had a couple bad weeks and has to climb back. Hillary’s hiding and the press is providing cover.
It’s turning around, and I hope Trump keeps at it, but folks, please, believe it, right now at this moment, he is behind and has to make it up. I’m hoping that he does it sooner rather than later. You can’t trust in the Trump effect (the updated Wilder effect)
I do question whether the black vote will turn out for her in the way they turned iut in the past 2 elections. Will they be 20% of the electorate? Will they give her 90%? Time will tell.
I find this poll result very strange. All other polls I have seen are Trending UP for Trump. It is very obvious Trump is gaining. The fact that the trend is opposite here is what leads me to believe this is not an accurate reflection of the current race.
damn right I do, but I don’t trust polls when they have shown us they are lying sacks of crap.
Feces in feces out!
I can’t believe the comments. Talk to people around you and how many say they’re voting for the corrupt, lying, amoral, traitor Hillary? Really?
If you truly believe that traitor is going to win, I suggest you find another country to move to.
I like looking at Rasmussen’s numbers more because even though they have her leading 42 to 38, you can step back from that one poll and see the other ones they have conducted. They have found (among other things) that most surveyed are inclined to support Trump’s hard line on immigration and that only 29% see the country moving in the right direction.
Some here will certainly call out Rasmussen’s bias on things as well (and they are probably not wrong to do so). But, like I said earlier, you can step back from the 42 to 38 number and take it with a few grains of salt as you can see the other surveys they’ve conducted.
“Theres NO way. Not with Trumps excellent past 2 weeks and Hillarys negatives that even the MSM cant ignore”
I agree.
I believe that is accurate for those women who believe: Feelings > Facts
“....And 8 percent hate her”.
Whoever wrote this article, (cough) left off the “0”..
