Entropy is the hardest entity in physics to quantify. So it has always stuck in my mind throughout my mechanical engineering work career. And 12 is my lowest golf handicap number.
The highest mountain in the Left-coast (and getting farther Left since I left) state where I grew up, and upon which my late sister’s ashes were scattered by my mountaineering brother. I use Rainier somewhere in several login IDs.
Everyone here should know what made 1789 famous in US history.
I’ll have to check back with my decoder ring. :-)
I was there. It wasn’t hippies calling people draft dodger. It was guys with flags sewed onto their jackets and squared off side burns. Not America;s finest hour.
We all have Hope, Mom, (HOPEfully in November)
Well -—mine is certainly not high minded :-) After working behind a desk for 40+ years, I’ve gotten and maintained the “secretary spread”. I’ve often said if I had to haul ass, I’d have to make two trips.
Nickname came about when hubby walked behind me and said I waddled like a duck —hence......the nickname......
Cremate me, put the ashes in an oatmeat box and launch it into low orbit so I can flash my ash as I whizz by.
You've yet to prove it :-)
Hopefully mine needs no particular explanation. I’m a preacher who lives in Alabama. Roll Tide!!!!!!!!!
Fearless Freep was a character in a Bugs Bunny cartoon titled “High Diving Hare”.
No plastic empty headed plaything am I
You are a perfect lady! :-)
“The Next” evolution in human understanding. I have several non-fiction books written out in my head & formally outlined. I found original ideas after decades of research. But e-books are like selling your emails, no profit, beginning around the year 2000 rise of the internet. And no time for seminars yet.
Many things such as a cure for procrastination. Your child avoiding homework is easily curable, non abusively. It has a near 100% success rate.
Copyright is concerning, so compartmentalize and chit chat on the web. Life is too short.
Kept as trade secrets, the world will wait
Mine was “Portagee”

Back in 2008 I did not support Mitt Romney in the primaries. (It ended up to be a moot point, because he was not the RNC nominee anyway). The site was so GOPe that I was hounded off because I was too far to the Right. I also invented the name “The Lyin’ King” for obama, and the administrator said I was disrespectful.
I had been lurking on FR for years and so I signed up as “left that other site”.
To this day people think I left some left-wing site after some kind of epiphany! LOL!
But that’s my story and I am sticking to it.
I always suspected it might be some sort of military term or military nickname, since you posted those excellent military news threads.
"Sergeant Major, front-leaning-rest position, Huah!"
I'll come back and relieve you later :-)
You should have seen my 1952 Buick Super hardtop with a straight-8 engine. It was built like a tank. I bought it used in 1961 for hundred bux. It gave about 5 mpg in city but gas in those days in Iowa city was only 19 cents/gallon, so even a student like me could occasionally fill 10 gallons of gas to go on a date or two. The battery was old, and if it did not start with the first crank, it was done. Then my roommate and I would push it down the hill from parking lot and I would pop the clutch to start the engine. On highways we could drive it at 90 mph and the ride was smooth!
