Great Barrier Reef tourist operators found less than 5 percent of the natural wonder has died off from “bleaching,” despite claims from scientists that most of the reef had been killed off by the effects of global warming.
“Scientists had written off that entire northern section as a complete white-out,’’ Chris Eade, owner of the diving boat Spirit Of Freedom, told The Courier-Mail in an interview.
“We expected the worst,” Eade said. “But it is tremendous condition, most of it is pristine, the rest is in full recovery. It shows the resilience of the reef.”
Eade said dire predictions about the demise of the Great Barrier Reef has hurt tourism businesses — a $5 billion industry. He’s particularly angry with scientists who estimated bleaching had hurt 93 percent of the Great Barrier Reef, mostly concentrated in the northern half.

Who are we going to believe world renowned scientists and policians or our lying eyes?
We visited Australia this summer and enjoyed snorkeling at four different locations of the Great Barrier Reef around Cairns and Cape Tribulation. The coral colors were magnificent. It was our first visit, so perhaps it isn’t as it once was, but we wouldn’t have missed it.
Plug “scientists-proven-wrong-great-barrier-reef-found-relatively-unaffected-by-global-warming/” in your search engine and all you get are scientists claiming the reef is dead. Goebbels on steroids.
Thousands of years ago, lower sea levels completely exposed the Great Barrier Reef for many years. When the ocean levels returned, the reef came alive again. Huh?
Yep, these turkeys haven’t a clue.
God is in control, of the oceans and ocean currents, sea levels and temperatures. He is control of the weather. He even controls the bacteria that ate all the 4.9 million barrels of BP oil that spilled.
So I wouldn’t worry too much about the reef, or climate change, or sea levels, they are all way beyond OUR control.
As an aside, scientists and do gooders will find a way to spend the BILLIONS of dollars that BP was forced to pay. Even if they have to make stuff up.
These oil spills are not the “disasters” liberals make them out to be.
