urkish tanks and other vehicles have rolled across the Syrian border after heavy shelling of an area held by so-called Islamic State (IS).
Military sources told Turkish media 70 targets in the Jarablus area had been destroyed by artillery and rocket strikes, and 12 by air strikes.
Turkish-backed Syrian rebels who are following the advance say they have entered the town of Jarablus itself.
The operation is aimed against both IS and Kurdish fighters.
Turkey shelled Syrian Kurdish forces in the region this week, determined not to let them fill the vacuum if IS leaves.
US Vice-President Joe Biden warned Kurdish forces in Syria they would lose US support if they advanced west of the River Euphrates.

Didn’t Biden just land in Turkey this morning, or yesterday?
Joel Rosenberg on Ezekiel 38, War of Gog/Magog

for later
“I think this entire operation is designed to exterminate the Kurds.”
This.
Spot on.
Ezekiel is fine, but lets not do modern strategic planning based on his recorded dreams.
>>Did they get UN approval? /sarc
And did France complete their “inspections”?
Kurds only perhaps
“The operation is aimed against both IS and Kurdish fighters.”
So Turkey has joined the Russian alliance officially then.
Well, Turkey is attacking Assad and Putin’s enemies, so I don’t think they are going to do a damn thing about it. They probably arranged it.
Ping
Don’t forget we used to back ISIS against the Assad regime, and even though now we supposedly oppose ISIS, we still also oppose their enemies...
It seems like we tried to pick the 3rd side in a war that really only has 2 sides.
Why did the BBC mention ISIS? Teyyip is going after the Kurds only.

Add me to the ping list please , things are really starting to fall in place
Uhhhhhh....I seem to miss where I posted anything about modern strategic planning.
All I did was post a link to a blog of Joel Rosenberg about the coming war of Gog/Magog.
I've read his blog.
He doesn't say anything about modern strategic planning either.
Seems to me, you're propping up a straw man.

Done :)
[[If Turkeys invasion of Syria stems the tide of these so-called Syrian refugees to the US, then I am 100% for it.]]
It’s not meant to stem the tide of Syrian refugees.
It’s meant to eliminate the Kurds on the Turkey/Syrian border .
The refugees will increase .
And those "Refugees" will become Erdogan's foot soldiers when he tries to re-establish the Caliphate in Europe.
[[It’s a mess........... (US scrambles jets to protect Kurdish allies from Syrian warplanes)
(U.S.-Allied Kurds Advance in Northeast Syria) (Video)]]
Everything 0 is involved with is a mess.
Their goal is to eliminate the Kurds from the Turkish /Syrian border . They don’t want Kurds on that side of the Euphrates river.
