Kellyanne Conway Is Not Helping Donald Trump – And Perhaps That’s the Plan…
The Last Refuge ^ | August 24, 2016 | Sundance

Posted on 08/24/2016 5:32:27 AM PDT by SatinDoll

There were two types of people who attended CPAC in March 2016 and gave Speaker Paul “Omnibus” Ryan (the former chair of the budget, well, actually, non-budget committee) a standing ovation.

Type one was the professional political class, the UniParty membership, the GOPe; those who happily welcomed Omnibus and who gleefully ignore the seventh spending of the nearly $1 trillion, “one-time” 2009 stimulus bill.

Type two, was those who are overcome with battered conservative syndrome and see nothing wrong with giving thanks to their abuser.

One of those attendees was the former partner of GOPe mouthpiece Frank Luntz, and current campaign manager for Donald Trump, Kellyanne Conway.

Whether Conway is the hand placing the scorpion into the bed sheets of Trump, or whether she is the scorpion itself, is yet to be determined. However, one thing appears quite clear, she was not put into the Trump campaign to ensure his election. Exactly the opposite appears true.

Conway’s current action, the ‘too-cute-by-half’ schtick on Trump’s immigration policy, is factually undermining the Trump campaign. Then again, shouldn’t this be expected when fellow consulting traveler Luntz and herself hold the same professional immigration objectives outlined in their historic support for Marco ‘gang-of-eight‘ Rubio.

It’s well known, the UniParty has a collective immigration agenda, amnesty (under various “comprehensive” parseltongue auspices), and a quasi-open border approach granting virtually unlimited immigration use policies.

Everyone would be very wise to remember the Senate Gang-of-Eight bill almost passed the house in 2014 because Boehner, Cantor, McCarthy, Ryan were all actively working toward the vote in June when Cantor was primaried by Dave Brat. Brat’s defeat of Cantor stopped the vote less than 72 hours before it was scheduled to take place.

In the buildup to the June 2014 House vote, Frank Luntz and the various Fox tentacles were in full alignment with the GOPe to pass the grand Obamacare-like usurpation against the will of the electorate.

The U.S. CoC, Wall Street, the people who pay for ‘the Conways’ of the political class, had it all worked out.

Back in August of 2015, when Jeb was still the chosen choice and when the rise of Trump was the paramount GOPe/UniParty concern, another of Conway’s professional consulting allies, Alex Castellanos shared exactly how the Trump insurgency could be destroyed:

[…] The best way to do it is how Brutus killed Caesar. Get real close, snuggle up, and shiv him in the ribs.

If by “shive him in the ribs” Castellanos was referring to having Trump’s campaign manager directly and unilaterally begin to contradict the very platform that gained Donald Trump so much enthusiastic support, then it appears the Castellano’s plan is well underway.

In the past four days, it appears Mrs. Conway -a long term advocate for the GOPe position– has begun to undermine her own candidate:

Conway attempted to clarify Trump’s stance on immigration, saying he wants to ensure the law is enforced…. “to be determined“, she says.

“What he supports is to make sure that we enforce the law, that we are respectful of those Americans who are looking for well-paying jobs, and that we are fair and humane for those who live among us in this country,” she said.

It appears Mrs. Conway is quite adept at creating just the right size crack in her candidate’s armor that will allow the circling MSM to drive their wedge lustfully into the opening and provide themselves the demoralizingly joyful “we told you so” to Donald Trump supporters. “Isolate-Ridicule-Marginalize” ~Saul Alinsky

And Conway’s veiled efforts are not going unnoticed:

Mickey Kaus, an overwhelmingly decent man, is being overly generous with the use of “suggestive generalities“. What Kellyanne Conway is actually doing is far more damaging, far more demoralizing.

And with the 25+ year political pedigree of Mrs. Conway in mind, and knowing her rolodex is jammed full with a who’s-who of the professional UniPartyparty apparatus, and knowing she is a walking gatekeeper for Billionaire Robert Mercer, well… it ain’t because she’s new or naive to this process – Conway knows exactly what she’s doing.

…and none of it is good:

And it ain’t just Mickey, Byron and us noticing:

@04:16 “this could be my shortest book tour ever”… [Quote from Ann Coulter]

Some political followers who also travel through the deep weeds have suggested that Conway is testing out “false flags” to gauge the potential severity for backlash.

Nope. I just can’t extend her that much credit…. it just sounds too much like falling back on the old “battered conservative syndrome” hopes and prayers – they won’t do it again, etc.

Oh hell yes they will. They always do.

Breaking the cycle of battered conservative syndrome means you accept things as they are, not as you wish them to be.

If you accept things as they are – the fact is Mrs. Kellyanne Conway has spent her entire political lifetime advocating for, and being paid for, positions that are entirely popular amid the donor class and the professional DC politburo…. then, you must also accept grandma’s odd adage: “a leopard doesn’t change it’s spots“.

Or for the sake of this analogy, Aesop’s fable is more appropriate:

scorpion-frog

A scorpion and a frog meet on the bank of a stream and the scorpion asks the frog to carry him across on its back.

The frog asks, “How do I know you won’t sting me?” The scorpion says, “Because if I do, I will die too.”

The frog is satisfied, and they set out. But in midstream, the scorpion stings the frog. The frog feels the onset of paralysis and starts to sink, knowing they both will drown, but has just enough time to gasp “Why?”

Replies the scorpion: “It’s my nature…”

Trump Frog.

“Shiv” delivered.

It’s her “nature”…

Mrs. Conway is a Cruz supporter. I do not doubt that Mercer recommended her to Trump and she took the job viewing it as an opportunity for payback.

She won’t last long in that job. Trump is a good judge of character and will dump her if she is not doing her job, which is to advance his campaign, not sabotage it.

I find it hard to believe she is sabotaging her own future.

Watch the polls after Labor Day... Then you will know whether Kellyanne is helping or hurting the Trump campaign.

The only thing I don’t understand is why you don’t start your own party. The hatred for Republicans is a manifest fact, so why remain a Republican? Start a new party without the horrible baggage of the terrible Republican voters, and get busy winning.

The times I’ve watched her on Hannity’s show, she has been one of the more vocal Trump supporters, and for a lot of months. I think even before Cruz dropped out.

Agreed. She seemed slimey like Cruz,
deceptive like Cruz, and has said stupid things ...

I am not so “concerned”.

Cruz is done. No intelligent political operative is tying their own future to Cruz’s wagon. If Kellyanne wants a future (and she does) then she will work hatd for Trump’s success.

As far as I can see, she’s doing fine.

Trump is his own man—he wouldn’t be “pivoting” on amnesty over the last week or so unless he wanted and decided to.

We’ve heard it from his own lips the last few nights on O’Reilly and Hannity. Sessions and Conway have confirmed it as well.

Don’t think it is accidental that he focused on the violently criminal illegals and there wasn’t an anti-amnesty in Trump’s written policy on illegal immigration from the start.

So far, she has proven herself to be a SNAKE, foolishly invited in by none other than Trump himself!!! She is probably in contact with Lyin’ Ted and both are laughing behind Trump’s back and at his expense, literally!!!
Bring back Paul Manafort or turn to Ed Rollins!!!
Time is running preciously short!!!
Loyalty is of the essence!!!

My impression of Mrs. Conway is that she is a hired gun who is brought on to run the mechanics of campaigns. I don't trust her personal politics. If she gets involved in more than just the mechanics of the campaign and tries to be a policy advocate, the result may be unwanted surprises.

“Conway, who once lived in a Trump building, has known her new boss for about a decade. She served as an informal adviser to Trump during his flirtation with a 2012 presidential campaign.”

On the contrary. Patriotic Americans are going to stay in the GOP and be the careerist beltway GOP’s worst nightmare.

The GOPe would just love it if Trump supporters left the party. Then they would be free move left and to collude with Democrats in installing their anti-American corportist agenda. Amusing to see a FReeper shill for that. Are you a Democrat by chance? LOL.

There’s going to be some form of what we think of as amnesty. JMO, but I believe they’ll leave those who have broken no laws save that of entering illegally in the first place.

We might as well kiss the Constitution goodbye right now.

Unfortunately, I think Ted Cruz is the Ryan Lochte of the GOP, at least for a few years. Persona Non Grata. Chris Christie is probably glad to have someone else occupy the proverbial ‘doghouse’.

Sundance is usually spot-on with comments, but this is BS.

Since Kellyanne and Steve Bannon have come on board, Trump has been doing better than ever.

Trump is, as always, completely in charge. He and they know exactly what they are doing.

BTW, Kellyanne has been on staff as the campaign pollster for a while now. If Trump wins, her future is golden.

..I would say that most former Cruz supporters stand with DJT all the way--Kellyanne included.

She will help him get to the end zone I have no doubt...

She must be doing her job or there would not be a hit piece on her. Trump does not need to change anymore campaign managers, it will make him look like someone who hires the wrong people all the time. Give her a chance.
