Kirsten Powers, a regular on Fox News for the past decade, is switching channels.
Powers is joining CNN as a political analyst, effective immediately, CNN announced Monday morning. She will continue to write columns for USA Today. Her first appearance will be on "Anderson Cooper 360" Monday night.
Powers is the fourth Fox personality hired by CNN in the past 18 months, joining co-host Alisyn Camerota, liberal commentator Bob Beckel and conservative commentator Mary Katharine Ham.
The timing of her move is newsworthy because it comes one month after the founding CEO of Fox News, Roger Ailes, resigned under pressure amid a sexual harassment scandal. There has been press speculation about a potential "talent exodus" from Fox in the wake of Ailes' resignation. Some of Fox's biggest stars have clauses in their contracts that allow them to leave because Ailes left.
Powers brings an unpredictable set of views to television news discussions. Last year The Washington Post described her as "an antiabortion, antiwar evangelical liberal who works for Fox News."
She is also the author of "The Silencing: How the Left is Killing Free Speech."

She was one of the most thoroughly unimpressive liberal shills on Fox News.
Never heard of anyone jumping on a sinking ship.
“:^)
Perhaps she became tired of losing the arguments to BOR night after night. Bill did manage to knock the chair out from under her on occasion. Though she be liberal her personality most times was tolerable. Only a few times wished to have in hand a two by 4 to knock some sense into her.
She was still unwatchable at times. Wish Juan Williams would go with her.
and shemp ...
Yes. At times.
But in the several months her regained sanity, reason and thoughtfulness seemed to have regressed badly. She became quite insolent and chippy. Maybe she auditioning for CNN or MSNBC.
The last few times I've watched/listened to her she was especially unhinged, returning to her progressive roots. I wonder if Mr. Producer requested a few dozen Midol and Valium for her.
I last saw her show over a year ago.
She was a particular pet of O'Reilly and he was the only one that gave her regular air time.
However, I noticed that she always rattled on and on in the most serious way, and when she was done with her "analysis" I would wonder what the heck she said.
Her observations appeared sincere and heartfelt but they were not incisive....and it was like trying to put air into a bag with your hand to really get any meat out of what she was saying.
Eventually, I think even O'Reilly couldn't save her. She's a nice lady, but I really don't miss her as any great help to the conservative cause...and she won't last long at CNN, either. I DO wish her well, though.

Observation: Powers, Beckel, and Hamm all coincidentally Roman Catholic. I wonder if Alisyn Camerota is as well?
Add O'Reilly and Hannity, and FNC seems to be top-heavy with RCs.
I didn’t even know she had a show. I’d merely seen her as a commentator. FOX’s female line up is deep.
Not only did she date him, she believed his full of baloney story about his twitter account being hacked.
Not much insight into the male mind.
Her show as in A Show She is On
Agree about Kelly. Won’t watch her.
OUCH.
We'll probably see her inner-weinerette emerge even more on CNN. She was already becoming a nasty b***h.
Aaaah....
"There has been press speculation about a potential 'talent exodus' from Fox in the wake of Ailes' resignation."
And what of "press speculation" during the past 24 years that CNN is nothing but the 'CLINTON NEWS NETWORK'?
And of the "exodus" of truth from the mouths of CNN's Ministry of Propaganda?
maybe she thought she would leave before revealing being sexually harassed by Ailes
Monica Crowley and Tucker Carlson are clearly on our side. Waters is good, too, imho.
