Five Notre Dame football players were arrested with a misdemeanor possession of marijuana on Friday, according to the Indiana State Police. A sixth football player was arrested after a separate incident at a South Bend bar, according to multiple reports.
Starting safety Max Redfield, linebacker TeVon Coney, wide receiver Kevin Stepherson, running back Dexter Williams and defensive back Ashton White were charged in the marijuana incident. Redfield, Stepherson and Williams face additional charges for possession of a handgun without a license, according to the police.
In a separate incident, cornerback Devin Butler was arrested on suspicion of battery, according to the St. Joseph County Police Department online search.

They all freshman?
I admit I didn’t read the original article that closely.
Three Hail Mary’s and they have to sit out the first quarter in the Home Opener against Nevada.
No, only three, probably. Coney, Williams, and White are taking 1sr year studies. Maybe they didn’t finish it last year and they are actually second year. I don’t know if that can be done. Maybe they are ‘special’ cases. I’ll say.
Notre Dame lost it’s values a few years ago when they invited and honored abortionist on famous starting with Obama.
All freshmen at ND are “enrolled in the first year of studies”. Most majors are not declared until sophomore or junior year.
The only one of the six players listed who has played a lot is Max Redfield. Butler played in every game in 2014, but doesn’t appear to have played in 2015.
I think ND will be harsher on these guys than you can believe. They have expelled players from the university for less than this: I’m thinking of a guy named John Cerasani, a promising offensive lineman, who got in a fight and punched out his opponent’s lights. He got kicked out of school for that.
As far as ND ever being truly Catholic again, the top officers in the administration and the board of trustees need to resign yesterday. The President, the not so reverend John Iscariot Jenkins, is an imposter in a Roman collar and needs to go, for the love of God, immediately. As you will remember, in 2009 Jenkins persecuted the “ND 88”, including the late pro-life crusader Father Norman Weslin.

Nice how three of them are advertising Notre Dame in their perp photos.
Real school spirit there.
All Blacks. Simply amazing.
