Hard pressed to find the Irish in the Fighting Irish these days...

“You realize that that means a year of actually going to CLASSES!!”
I have a good friend here in Chicago who as an adult learner is earning his Master’s Degree from N-D. I can’t even imagine how he feels, as someone who’s paying full boat for an education, that “student athletes” don’t have to pay a thing, but will still get out of there with a degree that says “University of Notre Dame”.
Brian Kelly will have little involvement in their punishment.
Brian Kelly recruited them.
The sham of the “student/athlete”
Even in their heyday, a lot of the ‘Irish’ were Bohunks.
College SPORTS is just so much h more important than college EDUCATION.
Too many people no longer play a sport ,or participate in any activity, but prefer to passively watch paid professionals.
Let’s look at the majors of these fine, fine scholars...
Max Redfield: Economics with a minor in Chinese
Te’Von Coney: “Enrolled in first year of studies”
Kevin Stepherson: No major listed. In fact, no details whatsoever.
Dexter Williams: “Enrolled in first year of studies”
Ashton White: “Enrolled in first year of studies”
Devin Butler: American Studies
Private schools out of control.
Christians ought to avoid scandal, to be sure.
One can also ask some questions about how wise some of these bans really are.
There is room for examination all over.
Recruit thugs and you get thugs. Pretty simple math.
football and basketball seem to have gone all thug, all the time; there was a time when playing a sport instilled the values of teamwork and conflict resolution, now everything is just one big jungle display tactic, thuggery at its finest...
Buckwheat sings. Wookin puh nub.
Well 1 out 6 of those majors requires a fair amount of scholarly effort even to do average.
Sentence them to counseling with Coach Sandusky.
Dindu nuffins.
I am less and less interested in the NFL; even as the new season approaches, it is hard for me to really get into it. I see it as a mere "bread and circuses" ingredient. I used to really like watching the NFL. Sad what it's become.
Mr Colt, or Mssrs Smith & Wesson, would be a better choice.
Later post shows all to be “Yes,” as I had suspected.
ND football is about winning. They don’t care about recruiting losers with no moral compass, hoping that they will behave after coming to South Bend.
Not the first problem and not the last.
The NCAA remains silent, so far.
They look like they’re in thei 30’s.
