Every four years, celebrities and movie stars look earnestly into the camera and tell the country to get out and vote. They tell us its our most important civic duty, and they speak as if the very act of casting a ballot is more important than the outcome of the election. This strikes me as somewhat hysterical. Does anyone actually believe that Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen DeGeneres, and Ed Norton would encourage the masses to vote, if they believed the masses would elect Donald Trump?

they’re all leftist nuts and pigs except for a few.
Vince Vaughn will speak his mind when asked but does not actively engage politics.
He’s about the ONLY A star I know of who believes in the 2nd amendment.
Wasn’t there a billboard sign back in the GW Bush years that thanked liberal celebrities for helping to elect him, lol?

Voting is seditious if you’re an ideologue or you are not aware of current events
Kurt Russell has had some interesting interviews defending guns.
We haven’t had 65% eligible voter turnout since 1908. Most of the time since that it has been much less, and of course local and state elections and even lower.
So would be worse or better off if turnout was consistently higher? I suspect a higher turnout would only increase the swing voters as a %, the folks who vote based on things like perceived popularity of a candidate or an accidental debate flub or someone’s appearance. The really wild thing is that the 10% or so of eligible voters who are swing voters supposedly decide all elections, no matter if a con or lib or pub or dem wins, based on how they happened to be swayed that cycle.

The three I can think of that openly speak their minds about the need for the 2nd amendment are Kurt Russell, Gary Sinise and Bruce Willis. Keanu Reeves actively competes in three gun matches. I’ve heard he’s quite good. Jon Voight Is also a 2A supporter. Which I suppose chaps his daughters ass to no end. But the common denominator among all the above is they’ve got enough “eff you!” money that if they never worked again they would be just fine. Plus they have a reputation for box office magic so the suits at the studios have to put their feelings aside and hire them. Hollywood liberals are all about being “blue” until you get in the way of their “green”. Then they’re whores.

I knew someone out there understood the American voter when a Czech said this back in 2008.
Prince of Fools
The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their president.
2008 Czech Newspaper Editorial
But 0baMao is the very dangerous means by which the citizenry's foolishness is put into effect.
.
That’s just it. If the so-called ‘swing voters’ actually decide elections, no politician will ever say ‘you half wits who somehow manage to vote but who vote one way and then another and can’t give a rational reason as to why—vote for the other guy. I don’t want the mouth breather vote.’
If the swing vote actually decides all elections, then even the good election results are actually chosen by the dumbest 10% of voters. The winning conservative could have had less debate flubs or was perceived to be more popular so attracted more of the people who vote based on perceived popularity or some other non-rational reason. But it wasn’t because of any consistant philosophical or political reason. That’s pretty mind blowing when you think about it.

What I’ve always maintained. That Czech editorial nailed it.
Amen!
How many celebs have ever cast a single vote? Those that have must have done so by mail because I have yet to see the red carpet and paparazzi outside LA precincts.
“”Jon Voight Is also a 2A supporter””
I can’t speak specifically for his support of the 2nd Amendment, but don’t forget James Woods. Can’t say I’ve ever heard him address the subject but it would be odd if he wasn’t a supporter..
First, entertainment has long ago gone global. So now entertainers have to please the 95% of tyrants, dictators, socialists and communists in the world to buy their acting, sports or music.
They have billions in vested self interest to be to the far left for the sake of their career to please the other 95% of the world.
I DON’T LIKE IT AT ALL. I think they should just stay out of politics since many sound so stupid anyway, but it is what it is.
Just boycott what you don’t like and inform sponsors involved with what you don’t like how you are going to shun them with the reasons why and be done with it.
They have peeps to do the voting for them.
