Paul Manafort, Donald Trumps campaign chairman, resigned from the campaign on Friday, according to Fox News.
This morning Paul Manafort offered, and I accepted, his resignation from the campaign. I am very appreciative for his great work in helping to get us where we are today, and in particular his work guiding us through the delegate and convention process. Paul is a true professional and I wish him the greatest success, Trump stated in a press release on Friday.

What is this about? Of course the MSM will make this THE issue for the next 48 hours.
Time to shedd this man I guess since the MSM is trying to tie him with cash from overseas. Cant be against something when you have someone who might be doing what your against.
And the ONLY ISSUE for the rest of the weekend and into Monday probably. At least they will stop talking about “the apology” like it is something evil and a confession of some heinous crime. It has been on the banner all morning.
How about a banner headline: “Hillary is a dying, brain damaged, lying, criminal hag.”
99% of America couldn't care less who the campaign managers are.
Granted it gives the Enemedia something, but not much, and they'd just make something else up if not this.
Exactly.
Let the MSM spin their wheels in the mud.
sigh.
onward we go.
Destroy Hitlery.
Manafort came in for the convention management role, unpaid by the way. That’s over, time to switch it up for communications expertise to win the general.
If the last couple of speeches are the result of Kellyanne and Bannon, I could not be happier with the change. And I suspect Paul Manafort feels the same way. As Clint Eastwood said “a man’s got to know his limitations”, and while Manafort was good at what he did, he’s not what we need to win.
Already at the top of Google News. Stories calling him and his deputy “foreign agents”.
Never anything bad about Hillary near the top of their page. Never.
Common sense says that Trump wants to go in a different direction. Besides Wasn’t Manafort hired to get the nomination done?
Manafort is an insider; now he’s out, and more outsiders are in; ie Bannon.
+ 1
When Kellyanne Conway was hired as the campaign manager anyone with a brain knew that Manafort was not needed any longer. Great move on Trump’s part. Manafort is the best delegate finder in the game and he did his job. Time to win the general now.
Actually, this is a good thing. What Trump appears to be doing is bringing in the people who are the experts for a particular point in time in the campaign and when they are done with the job they were asked to do, they leave.
It’s called consulting.
Hopefully, a news program will hire him under the notion that they think Manafort will say a bunch of bad things about Trump like they did with Corey. Then find out that he is still loyal to Trump.
FTM.
The M stands for “media”. The T is for “the”. I’ll leave it to the readers imagination as to the ‘F’.
Do you think that Roger Stone cannot be trusted either? He’s been great so far by he is Manaforts partner...
I think the main problem was that Manafort’s connections in the former USSR were creating radio interference for Trump’s message.
Trump did what any good CEO would do. He cut short the problem. My guess is that Manafort understands this perfectly, and that he will be well taken care of.
This is CEO behavior.
