Democrat vice presidential candidate Sen. Tim Kaine says the United States is far behind some Muslim countries in treating women equally because it is below the global average in the percentage of women in elected office.
Kaine said in a speech at a rally in Fayetteville, North Carolina Tuesday:
It took 144 years before women even got the right to vote in this country. What were we thinking when we said equality mattered, but no. One hundred and forty-four years. It took us that long to say in 1920, to say women get a right to vote. And now were 96 years later and we have just nominated a woman. We know we havent had a woman president.
Kaine complained that, today, only 19 percent of members of Congress are women.
Thats the best job weve ever done, he ridiculed the U.S., continuing that countries such as Afghanistan, Iraq, and Rwanda have higher percentages of women in elected office.

They really, really want the caliphate don’t they!
We’re so far behind the beheading numbers, I don’t think we’ll catch up for years. Kaine makes Biden look intelligent. (Just kidding)
Oh yeah no doubt about that! Certainly when they are trying to sell this malarchy.
LOL
He needs to provide factual statistics to support this claim, IMHO. Trump surrogates need to demand that the media demand the data from Kaine.
This clown is a serious THREAT! He cannot be allowed to be a heartbeat away.
ELECTED OFFICE?!
Is this some kind of joke?
MANY States had women voters long before the right was given for National elections. From the looks of it, it doesn’t seem that women in elected office have anything to offer but problems. They never seem to have solutions.
Kaine is a Kommie.
Are they lining up to vote in saudi?
or is that the line at the polls in detroit?
I hate leftists and their stupid specious “arguments”.
The Eyebrow just went full retard.
Perhaps if his running mate was actually qualified to be President, he would have a point of some sort--just what I am not sure. Both sexes, in combination, are the key to life. That is more important than any race between America & other lands to prove some affirmative action goal.
Another Leftist moron. But he’s got goodies! And that’s all that matters here in the good ol’ USSA.
This guy is a bigger tool then I could have imagined.
The people of Virginia have certainly devolved since the time of George Washington and James Madison. Now they vote for the lowest characters to have crept out of the Democrat corruption slime: Tim Kaine and Terry Mcauliffe.
What ever happened to Benazir Bhutto, anyway?
Hasn’t the nation learned from the failed Obama Experiment?
Do we really want more presidents chosen because of their skin color, gender or sexual proclivities instead of someone who can do the job?
If women have had the right to vote since 1920 and they have been in the majority during this time, whose fault is it that we have never had a female President?
