Kaine is a very, very strange Virginian! As I recall, Virginia did not originally ratify the XIXth Amendment, because Virginia ladies of the era, generally considered the suffrage to be an insult. They liked the Chivalric idea that men were supposed to protect the women. I wonder if Senator Kaine thinks we are also behind countries where women now blow themselves up as a method of persuasion.

Perhaps if his running mate was actually qualified to be President, he would have a point of some sort--just what I am not sure. Both sexes, in combination, are the key to life. That is more important than any race between America & other lands to prove some affirmative action goal.
