The campaign confirmed to CBS News that the ad buy is set for Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, and Pennsylvania -- traditional swing states that will play an important role in deciding a general election winner.
The ad campaign comes just as Trump has seen his support plummet in those battlegrounds in recent polls. According a CBS News survey out earlier this week, Clinton now leads Trump in Florida by five points (she led by just three points in June). And a RealClearPolitics (RCP) average of Pennsylvania polls finds Clinton leading Trump 49 percent to 40 percent. An RCP average of Ohio polls shows Clinton is ahead by about three points. In North Carolina, a recent Wall Street Journal/NBC News/Marist poll showed the GOP nominee struggling to catch up to Clintons nine-point lead.
With less than 90 days until the general election, Trump had still spent nothing on television ads, despite the campaigns expanded fundraising efforts. Outside groups backing Trump have spent about $8 million on advertising thus far.

FINALLY!!! make Hellery play Defense for awhile...
Hillary up 9 in PA but hasn’t left the state in a week?
I don’t see “plummeting” support. What I see are frantic efforts by the media and pollster powers that be to try and deflate our attitude. They are full of more sh!t than a Christmas Turkey, frankly.
Here in FL, the Hillary! ads are on 24/7 and are really annoying and nauseating......................
I wish Virginia was on this ad buy list - hopefully Trump will expand over next few months.
Hellery is soooooo far ahead that she should expanded the race running in Texas and South Carolina.
Yeah she’s still camped out in PA.
[Yeah shes still camped out in PA.]
WHY is she still camped out in PA? Health issues?
Va looks to be a lost cause. Too much corruption with felons voting, and North Va. always voting liberal. Better to concentrate on more winnable states.
Nine points ahead in NC my ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The one where DT is on super lib letermans show(from probably 20 years ago) and he is attempting to portray DT as a hypocrite because his merchandise is made overseas is particularly sickening.
Strange I thought as well. If she is really up 9 why is she camped out there? Why was Trump in Connecticut, that should be a deep blue state and a lock for the Hag?
This is the ad I want to see.
“Hillary Clinton, carpetbagger moved to NY with her impeached, disbarred rapist of a husband Bill Clinton in order for her to steal a senate seat. She promised with her in office, NY would see an increase of 200,000 jobs. She lied.”
“Donald Trump on the other hand has spent his life in NY, building communities which employed thousands of people from across the state. When he promises to build something, it gets built.”
“This November, NY’ers have a choice. Vote for Hillary Clinton, which will cost NY’ers even more jobs, or Donald Trump, who knows how to create jobs.”
Run that non-stop in NY. This is the 600 pound elephant in the room that the Clinton campaign is avoiding like the plague.
I don’t know why Trump doesn’t turn that one into a campaign ad about pledging to bring American business back to America by doing away with the confiscatory taxes and burdensome regulations that Democrats imposed on them. Hillary has saturated the market with it, he may as well turn it around on her.
Was visiting the in-laws last week in Ohio, and got to see some of the Hill-LIAR-y ads there. I swear she did everything but bring out the old LBJ mushroom cloud ad. And, while Trump hadn’t put out any ads out there during my visit, there were plenty of NRA and other “interest groups” airing stuff about the Hildebeast that will hopefully resonate with the electorate.
Being in California, where the 2016 Presidential election was over in November, 2012, we will be spared some of the more interesting ads yet again. Not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing, though.
“Hellery is soooooo far ahead that she should expanded the race running in Texas and South Carolina.”
Don’t laugh. The propaganda ministry is trying now to advance the meme that Texas and SC are now in play.
Everywhere you go there are TVs on. My house, friends house, at my office, in the gym, in restaurants, in schools.
TV is THE medium. For 18-25 year olds, it may not be. But I also think that is the demographic least likely to vote.
You place a great degree of persuasive value in TV political ads. I do not at all.

No question the media landscape has changed. However, Trump needs to invite undecideds and low info votes to his side. Such people are only getting their election news from the lying media - Trump’s mortal enemy - and anti-Trump ads by the lying criminal. What good are 10,000 Trump supporters at a Trump rally when the media only lies about the rally and what Trump said there? Therefore he needs to end run around the media and speak directly to the people, especially the undecided and low info voters. TV and radio ads will do that.
