The International Association of Fire Fighters, a politically powerful labor union, has abandoned its initial plans to endorse Democrat Hillary Clinton for U.S. president, the New York Times reported on Friday.
Citing union sources, the Times said the Clinton campaign was told on Monday by IAFF President Harold Schaitberger that there was not enough support on the union’s board or its rank-and-file members for an endorsement of the Democratic front-runner.

But despite the interests of a majority of its membership, its leaders still tend to endorse democrats in elections.
Hubby is a retired firefighter and even the local union has always endorsed Democrats. This non endorsement really is a big deal. First time I’ve ever seen it.
Here is my recommended edit. Trump will never win significant union leadership support. They mortgaged their souls to the Democrat party long ago.
I think Trump will win police/fire/industrial union members while other government workers and service employees will lean toward Clinton.
Used to be in a government union. Thanks to Act 10, I was able to drop that. They used to call and mail a list of their recommended candidates. If they called, I always said, “Thanks! Now I know who NOT to vote for.”
Trump should frequently remind everyone that their vote is secret behind a curtain.
Are these the same fireman who booed Hillary in 2000, and when the media reported it they dubbed in cheers?

A few days ago, can’t remember the name of the LEO, but it is supposed to be the largest in the nation was getting ready to endorse Hillary and she said she did not want their endorsement. She really is making the right moves to get Trump elected.
People vote FOR someone or they don’t vote. I’m sensing democrat turnout in this election is going to be tiny.__________________________________

I cant imagine why the firefighters would deny Hillary an endorsement. Cities will burn if she is elected, and they will have loads of work when that happens. Why would the not like this? /s

Yes. When I was in the Navy our patch was a quill and a lightning bolt. We were called lightning fast chicken pluckers. Or, some made it into a more obscene version.
