A chaotic scene unfolded tonight after a police officer shot and killed an armed suspect in the north side of the city of Milwaukee. Police were in riot gear and as they left in their patrol cars, rioters smashed their windows and attacked the cars. A journalist was attacked too.
A standoff between police and an angry crowd turned violent Saturday night in the hours after a Milwaukee police officer shot and killed an armed suspect during a foot chase on the citys north side.
More than 100 people gathered near the scene at N. 44th St. and W. Auer Ave. and at times pushed against a line of 20 to 30 officers, some of whom were in riot gear.
At one point, the officers got in their cars to leave and some in the crowd started smashing the windows and side of a squad car that appeared to be demolished. Another vehicle was set on fire. As officers returned to the scene, this time many more in riot gear, three or four gunshots could be heard about 8:45 p.m.
Soon thereafter, the crowd turned on and attacked reporters and a photographer from the Journal Sentinel. One reporter was shoved to the ground and punched.

Frankly, ‘gas station desert warnings’ in general would be a useful app. Was it ‘slum specific’?
‘So serial bad guy with a stolen gun ran from the police in a traffic stop, wouldnt drop his stolen gun and gets dead for his efforts, and the locals riot and defend him.’
Handy summary.
A smart police captain or chief can anticipate riots. If they can’t, they need to get more savvy. So a timeline might be a good way to consider pay raises.
It goes deeper than ‘drug culture’. Victorian England used to sell opium over the counter.
Bottom line: professors have steered our leaders away from concerns over the human soul.

I agree he had nothing to do with it, but as long as Milwaukee falls within Milwaukee county I imagine there will be some sort of faux outrage at him as well and calls for him to step down.
Doesn’t matter the perp had 26 rounds left in his weapon at the time of the shoot out.
That morality crisis has been going strong for well over six decades now. The inner-city embraces the ooze of it too.
——This would fall under the jurisdiction of Sheriff David Clarke——
Does the sheriff have jurisdiction in the city of Milwaukee?
That was the issue. It was some sort of GPS app that you could set up to avoid high crime areas. Which is the same thing as a food desert, or, now, gasoline desert.

Good idea. They want to live according to their own thuggish ideas, then they must stay within their own territory. A no-go zone. Includes no police services and no medical services. Self-sufficient. They’ll be shot on sight if they cross the boundaries.
Milwaukee isn’t really Wisconsin.
While I do not know how it works in WI, in general, a county sheriff covers law enforcement in unincorporated areas of a county, and city police forces cover it in the incorporated areas. Naturally there are mutual aid agreements, which is why you have the sheriff sending in the county Bearcat to assist the city police. But the city would have command responsibility in the city, it’s not like the sheriff can just overrule the city chief of police.
Typically the sheriff’s office has other duties as well, such as running the county jail and providing security at county courts.
I don’t know. But I damn sure like it when the hoodlums beat the hell out of a reporter. I view it as a family fight because as far as I am concerned, reporters and thugs are members of the same family.
Will be interesting to see what Trump has to say Tuesday night during his exclusive one hour town hall with Hannity in Milwaukee.
Wonder if Sheriff Clarke will be included in the program?
In this case, a very bright silver lining. You didn’t ask for it, but I will give it to you. As far as I am concerned, the police should have shot every son of a bitch that busted out their windows as they were driving away.
Is Sheriff Clark still in charge?
