Similarly, why do many Christians, Jews, Buddhists and Hindu’s keep voting for leftist democrats, all over the country? Don’t they realize they are voting against their own interests?

I mentioned this earlier in the week...that I strongly believe Romney is still pushing a personal vendetta against Trump.
He doesn’t believe in doing what’s right for the country. He’s just mad that Trump called him out for being a loser.
Sally Bradshaw, former adviser to Jeb, and before that Romney, recently announced she was abandoning the GOP and actively supporting Hillary.
The next day or so, Meg Whitman announced she was donating money to Hillary. Meg is a good friend and long-time supporter of Mitt Romney!
Rick Wilson, who has driven the nevertrump focus for a year, appearing on dozens of programs to namecall and insult Trump — AND Trump’s supporters — as morons, idiots, retards, hicks, hillbillies — the guy is a true piece of work.
Wilson has written volumes about how Trump voters are costing him his “life’s work” and it will take “years to rebuild”. ((Is he serious?))
Wilson is a close ally of people like Amanda Carpenter, Cruz’s alleged girlfriend. Remember her? “Why don’t we make an enemies list and blackball everyone on it!”
It goes on and on — and in most cases, Romney is in the background linked to all of these people.
He’s disgusting.
At least someone like Dobbs is calling this out and trying to give it some light of day.
We need that. The more people know about who’s driving it, the better.

Good question, but what other options were there, really. And the truth of the matter is that Trump’s philosophy is very in tune with the Republican base, just not the party bigwigs.
I view this as a shareholder revolt on behalf of the base being lead by Trump so that just perhaps, we may once again have at least one party that gives a damn about the country.
