Tourists are turning their backs on France due to fears of terrorist attacks, with the wealthiest being the most likely not to come, a government minister has said.
It is perhaps inevitable that many of the millions of visitors to France would change their travel plans after repeated terror attacks.
But certain groups of tourists are have been put off more than others
Overall since the start of 2016 the number of nights spent in France by foreign visitors has dropped by 10 percent. And things are not looking too bright for the months to come with travel data company ForwardKeys saying international flight bookings are down by 20 percent for August and September. …

It’s true, they really think they’ll be OK no matter how dangerous a place they go to. She actually complained that Nice was in mourning for 3 days, and the shops were all closed! I kid you not. 73 dead people but Ms.World Traveler was bummed the stores were closed for 3 days before she cruised the Riviera. Poor baby.

Somebody needs a big reality check.
You can guess how thrilled I am to have her offer her “vacation pictures” year after year. She makes so much money in the public school system administration, she goes on many trips in a year. Of course we get the yearly brag letter with pictures for Christmas. Thrilling. No mention of Christmas, just pics and details of her vacations. Last year was a humdinger. She saw The Pyramids, The Eiffel Tower, Norway, Cuba, China. She’s been to China at least twice. We wonder “why?” about China and Cuba. She seems to be oblivious to their cruelty to their own citizens and that they hold political prisoners.
I once saw an article on FR about what really rich people talk to normal people about that annoys the normal people, and number one was “their vacations”. I never forgot that article because it is so true.
I was agast that she would complain that Nice was closed up for mourning the 3 days after her arrival. The terrorist was killing people when she was about to land.
She still went to Qatar. Not a thought as to her safety as far as we can tell.
She is a blue eyed blond. Should fit in real well in Qatar. Or Not.
As far as her trip to Qatar, I hope she isn’t too young or attractive.
Ha Ha! She is in her forties, and by islamic standards, which is burkas and goats, she is quite attractive. That was mean,,,honestly she is a very nice looking gal. I hope she knows what she is doing, but I fear she does not. Kind of like young people who feel they are immortal and do stupid stuff. I do hope she will be safe.
