But way too many people literally hate the guy.
If I were running a team like the Rays, I'd give him a shot.
I had a scholarship to play baseball at a Div 1 school. Michael Jordan wasn’t even close to being good enough to be a major league baseball player, or actually, even a college player. The only reason he got a chance was because he drew a crowd. That is the fact. Maybe the Rays will, one of my teammates is a scout for them still!
I watched the video of Tebow, and he definitely has a hell of a lot better swing than Jordan, but so do a lot of people.
Tebow should take Romo’s place.
“...way too many people literally hate the guy...”
And I betcha way more love Tim Tebow and that’s the truth! Why do the haters, mainly atheists, get to wag the Dog so easily???
Tebow getting a shot is more than most. Baseball has to be the hardest sport to make the pros. I don’t know how many “can’t miss” five tool players have never made the bigs. But alas, whatever Tebow does should help baseball. Deion Sanders and Bo Jackson made it.
Good luck to him!
Can anyone spell 'hubris'?
But he does a heck of a job trying to remain relevant.
At age 29, it would be a bad team that wanted some excitement and publicity. Might be a good promo for a minor league team, but they wouldn’t pay Tebow very much. Very few teams would have any interest at all.
The few players who spend very short times in the minors are guys who are fresh from high level play in college or foreign/independent leagues.
In my part of the US, Kansas, the worst thing that can be uttered about you, if you seek public office, is that you are genuinely pro-life!
Sure, there are some pols that seek the Kansans For Life, endorsement come election time and will even use their membership in certain religions as proof that they are pro-life but vote in favor of embronic stem cell "research" when votes are cast.
Liberal leaders and donors will give such pols a pass for stating their "pro-life" credentials at election time because they know in fact it is not true!
Tim Tebow - he's to be destroyed and never allowed to be seen again succeeding in any sports team - ESPN (and other Jesus Christ haters) won't allow it!
No he didn't, he took a year off from the NBA to take the heat off what could have been a major gambling scandal resulting from his golf/gambling debts..........
He did the NBA and ESPN a favor by taking a year vacation thus giving them the opportunity to fuggetaboutit rather than show their hypocrisy by covering for the popular black guy.......
Bo [Jackson] knows football.
Bo [Jackson] knows baseball.
I agree with both statements. Bo Jackson was a quintessential, multi-sport athlete...hands-down!
Why not Tebow?
Could it be because of his melanin content?
I like Tebow...does he have any kind of baseball background?
Some organization might offer him a minor league contract and give him a shot. He has tons of fans and would put butts in the seats, which minor league clubs are always looking for.
Who knows, I always thought his throwing action looked more like a pitcher's windup?
Jordan played baseball to avoid a suspension the NBA didn’t want the bad PR for giving him. There was nothing there for baseball to profit from, and they’ve got nothing to make up for. If Tebow has the skills good for him. But he probably doesn’t, and he should be willing to play in the minors if he doesn’t. But we saw in football he wasn’t willing to do that, and he probably still won’t be. The guy has turned into a bad circus, he really needs new advisers, people willing to say he isn’t amazing at everything, because it turns out he’s human.
I wonder if Tebow has thought about being a pitcher?
He has a strong left arm and the big leagues are always looking for left handed pitchers.
What the heck?
If he can hit a Major league fastball (95mph) he has a shot.
