House Speaker Paul Ryan wins primary, defeats longshot GOP challenger praised by Donald Trump.
Ryan was being challenged by Paul Nehlen.
Nehlen had been courting Trump supporters and won praise from the Republican presidential nominee last week. But Trump endorsed Ryan days later.
Ryan had largely ignored Nehlen in what had been a sleepy primary before Trump thanked Nehlen on Twitter for his comments defending Trump. Nehlen won the backing of some prominent conservative figures, including former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, but it wasn't enough to overcome Ryan's popularity in his southeastern Wisconsin district.
Ryan was first elected in 1998 and this is his first re-election win since becoming speaker last fall.
If I were a Republican in his disyrict, I would vote for the Democrat to get this pro-open borders, pro-illegal alien, pro-Islamist Obama collaborator out of office. In two years you could vote the Democrat out. THAT is how aweful this individual is.
It’s a good thing getting Walker & Priebus on record.
Priebus should be replaced by someone who worked for Trump’s campaign.
Corey or Hicks or Manafort or Roger Stone or someone.
They both will end up in obscurity.
It went from 5% to 15%, triple the dislike for Ryan.
I think you could analyze that and say that Ryan is actually more divisive than Trump because Trump is running a national ticket and a bigger range of people voting in his primaries. Trump wouldnt get 15% against if he were a 5 term senator or congressman.
The person who might lose the most out of it, could be Senator Ron Johnson.
Wisconsin is like the mecca of cuckservatism. Scott Walker has pretty average record.

You must be thinking of a different Ryan. Speaker Ryan started working at a McDonalds while in high school. He then cared for his Alzheimer ridden mother after she was widowed when Ryan's father died at age 55. He worked summers in college at Oscar Mayer, then as a fitness trainer and waiter. After graduation, he became a speech writer for Empower America, then for Jack Kemp. He then spent time marketing for his family business, Ryan Inc.
Paul Ryan is the poster boy for the corrupt crony capitalist bought off politician supporting the NWO Cheap Labor Express.
