Eighty thousand dollars of aid donated to World Vision by the United Kingdom, which was intended to help the civilians of Gaza, build badly-needed infrastructure, and provide food and medical care to those in need, was instead invested in building a Hamas military base and pocketed by the terrorists who constructed it.
"In this compound we have identified surveillance and observation capabilities facing north, towards Israel." IDF Spokesperson Lt. Col. Peter Lerner said. "I can also tell you that in June 2015 we targeted components within the compound following a rocket attack against Israel." The active Hamas military base, codenamed "Palestine," was built, among other things, for close-quarter combat training in the northern Gaza city of Jabalia, the third-largest Gazan city. The relatively large base is 600 by 200 meters, and is a short distance from residential buildings, as seen in the below declassified aerial map.
The World Vision investigation exposed that sixty percent of the charity group's annual budget was funneled to terror activities by Halabi, the Palestinian manager of the World Vision's Gaza branch. Forty three million dollars of aid earmarked for agriculture, treatment for the disabled, and public health was instead used by Hamas to buy weapons, build military bases, and fund the construction of tunnels, which were used in the past to kidnap Israeli soldiers and stage attacks against Israel.

A new base in Gaza paid for with donations from World Vision.
They were handing the money to a muslim to distribute to the people.
Maybe their donation request looks different in the UK but I have seen what they send out here at they make it look like you are supporting a Christian child not muslims.
Why hasn’t the IDF glassed the place?
Yup!
Not a surprize in the least.
bkmk
World Vision works for the Father of Lies and is not in any way affiliated with the real Church of Christ.
Is WV a member or affiliated with the WCC?
Just like many large “charitable” organizations.
I have always avoided them like the plague.

They used to preach the Gospel to unbelievers in the areas they worked but they no longer do.
As the children we support through them graduate we are moving our money to other groups such as Samaritan’s Purse. None of the children we support are in Gaza though one is in Indonesia.
Statement from World Vision President and CEO:
“They used to preach the Gospel to unbelievers in the areas they worked but they no longer do.”
How do you know that?

It does not appear that there is any official direction to NOT preach the gospel, so not sure how accurate your understanding is.
The population in Gaza (2014 figure) is approximately 1.8 million.
So World Vision alone has spent 22$ million in Gaza over the last 10 years.
Is Gaza just the biggest money pit in the world or what?
I would be interested to know (but not interested enough to research right now) how much money, from various NGOs, charities etc, has been spent on Gaza over the last 10 or even 20 years.
They used to preach the Gospel but no longer do.
Now they believe that people seeing good things done is enough.

Do we preach the Gospel to non-believers? If not, in what other ways do we witness to our faith?
Bryant Myers, one of the great thinkers for World Vision, used to say that our work in development provokes the questions to which the Gospel is the answer. Isnt that an amazing thought? We witness by our life and our deeds as individuals, through the signs of Gods action, and by word when people ask the question. Good development, which says that injustice and inequality are unacceptable and reparable, makes people ask these questions from a place of openness and freedom: Why do you stay after the war breaks out and others leave? Why didnt you let us stone the man who stole that money from you? Why do you ask about my children and care about me?
Some define proclaiming Christ narrowly, as a spoken call to repentance preached to large groups. But God has opened doors for World Vision to work in areas where certain methods may be inappropriate and insensitive or ineffective. Jesus gives us an example to follow. By feeding the hungry, restoring sight to the blind, and freeing the oppressed, He showed that His Good News includes the promise of care and hope for the downtrodden. Following in Jesus footsteps, we proclaim the hope of the Gospel not only in words, but through the quality and character of our lives and by our actions on behalf of others.

A sickening amount that ends up going for tunnels and rockets and paying people that kill Israelis

Same here.
Yeah, I actually almost added a very similar line to my post. (...and we all know what that money bought).
In reading the statement from the guy at WV, I want to tell him, did you actually think that the people there give a crap about their children? If they did they wouldn’t teach them as they do.
