1st CD, Republican: Incumbent Paul Ryan, of Janesville, and Paul Nehlen, of Williams Bay.
I absolutely have nothing on this election, so I thought I'd start a thread, and we can add to it as information comes in. Some polls have Ryan way ahead, and a few find it less certain. On the other hand, wasn't this the climate before the Cantor election? He was sitting fat dumb and happy with a big lead in the polls?
If I were a betting man, I'd have to put my money on Ryan and by all counts, he's a very popular guy up there, but then again, so is Obama.
And I would be willing to wager that Nehlen leaves Wisconsin within the next 6 months.
Let's look at your statement again and how galactically stupid it is. The Journal Sentinel doesn't even acknowledge that the Milwaukee conservative talk radio shows exist. One would never help the other. Period.
As for positive Nehlen stories - what would those be?
His two drunk driving convictions in North Carolina?
His phony status as a small business owner?
His decision to never renew the registration of his phony business?
His non-existent record as a former Ryan "supporter"?
His inconsistent voting record?
His attempt to blame the state GOP for getting kicked out by Trump staffers for not having a ticket to the Green Bay rally last week?
How much campaign money he and his manager scammed from unwitting conservative dupes across the country?
His operation of his dump truck gimmick without a proper operator's license?
His creepy press conferences on the sidewalk in front of Ryan's campaign office?
His creepy press conferences on the sidewalk in front of Ryan's private residence?
His creepy reference to Ryan's young children in Nehlen campaigning?
His attempt to leave fraudulent call back numbers so that he could blame talk radio for blackballing him?
His multiple voting law violations on primary day?
Funny, Ann Coulter & Breitbart never talked about any of those things.
btw, FIBber - what specifically have you done to help end the career of your true GOPe Senator Mark Kirk?
Thanx for the info..
btw, Pro-life is always my litmus test.
this is new ...
http://www.nrlc.org/uploads/2016POTUScomparison.pdf
it is the only issue. along with the subversion of constitutional law to protect the Abortion movement.
I am not a FIBber...You just accuse when you don’t like what is said...Facts are optional...Remember how I had to write a d*mned dissertation to prove I actually lived in Wisconsin...because you, dear Sideshow could not take my word.
Just what have YOU done?? You, Bob. You gave us Lyin Ryan!!! You gave us Fiengold, you gave us Kohl and Baldwin.
Actually, I did not give you Obama. I did not even live in IL when he started his rise.
Kirk? Look at my Twitter from his first election...At least I don’t support Kirk like you have supported Ryan...and I have actually called his office and told them I will not be voting for him, and that is more than you!!
Talk smack about GOP politics? WTH? GOP is huge part of the problem in DC...ah but then you don’t read what you don’t like...YOU just don’t get it...At least I was never a Cruz supporter or GOPe enabler.
Sheesh..you need to go over to Briefing Room, National Review, and Weekly Standard...they love Ryan and the GOPe.
Trump endorsed Ryan. Amusing people giving you such a hard time for agreeing with him.
Nehlen, a very weak challenger, never had a snowball’s chance anyway, people getting worked up for nothing, buying into the hype.
Now a lot of people here will root for the rat, who would vote for Pelosi and single payer. Happily, he’s a nobody with no money and no chance.
Thanks for the CT info.
‘
So let’s see
Despite being the talk of FR, Ryan/Nehlen was never competitive. The guy who ran against Boner in 2014 actually did better with much less attention.
In WI-8, open GOP seat, the primary was won in a landslide by Mike Gallagher an Iraq Vet and former Congressional Aide who appears to be a strong candidate. Rats have a real candidate but Gallagher should be fine.
I fully support Phil Scott for Governor of VT, if he ever became a Senator, well he’d be a helluva lot better than GD Leahy and Sanders! Abortion/gays is par for the course, it’s Vermont. They have maple syrup for brains.
In MN-2 Jason Lewis is possibly a weak candidate, the rat is wealthy self-funding dyke. Worrisome. The NRCC choice, former State Senator John Howe, who raised a good amount of money came in a pathetic third. Lewis, who was the choice of the GOP convo won 49-31 over Darlene Miller. I probably would have gone with Miller.
In other MN news, a rat state Rep first elected in ‘72 was defeated by a Somali immigrant, Muslim I presume.
I gave you what you asked for and the point was merely to state that Donald Trump endorsed Paul Ryan and that he didn’t endorse Paul Nehlen.
If you’d like to watch and hear Donald Trump actually say the words “I support and endorse our Speaker of the House Paul Ryan...” here’s a link to a You Tube video of that section of Mr. Trump’s speech in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Speaking of Maple Syrup for brains. No GOP opponent for VT Congressman Welch.
His only foe is a chick from the Trotsykist Liberty Union Party.
https://www.facebook.com/clawsonforcongress/
Check out her facebook photo, with the chicken on her shoulder.
Based on that and the fact that she’s in Liberty Union I’m guessing that she’s completely insane.
I love her.
if she does well, in 2 years she can run for Senate.
I guess you cannot read...I give up.
I asked you for your point...which you finally stated after 2 requests...
Yes, I saw the rally—almost went to attend in person...I have been a Trump supporter since before day one. I have seen most Trump rally events. I did not ask for that link. However, since you provided it, in regards to that endorsement, If you believe that Trump’s endorsement of Ryan for HOUSE REP DIST 1 (not Speaker) is heart-felt, you are smoking something...It was as tepid as could be. He read it...not passionate...He had to do it. Can’t fight a war on 2 or 3 fronts with the GOP being one of them...He had to endorse. Period. This was similar to Palin endorsing McCain’s senate run after his failed election run IMHO...She had to do it, to stay in good standing the family so to speak—no one believed she truly wanted to, it was perfunctory....
I asked you specifically for link of Trump endorsing Ryan as Speaker—not running as a congressman—you can’t provide that link because it is likely it does not exist.
Not sure if you are a Cruzer or what, but Nehlen would have been a great, Trump supporting Representative to add to the House...Ryan OTOH undercuts Trump every opportunity he gets because Ryan is philosophically opposed to Trump on all major issues...Ryan is a globalist/cheap labor express/pro-amnesty/elitist. Period.
Nehlen did not win, and I am sure you are pleased....We will never agree on this...However, there are more pressing things to cover now that Ryan is still speaker.
NO need to respond.
Here are your words from post #398: “I was aware Trump said he could be open to Ryan as speaker,...however, I did not see an endorsement, so please provide link...”
No need to respond.
I was aware Trump said he could be open to Ryan as speaker,...however, I did not see an endorsement, so please provide link...
I told you not to reply, yet you replied with erroneous statements...yet AGAIN.
in the fall 2015, Trump said he was “open to Ryan as speaker...” This comment is NOT AN ENDORSEMENT, and you did not provide a link for TRUMP ENDORSING RYAN AS SPEAKER...WHICH YOU ERRONEOUSLY CALMED he did...I asked 3 times, and you obfuscated each time...
instead providing me the rally link...
You provided a link from last week...at Trump rally where Trump made a perfunctory endorsement of Ryan for Congress...Duh...everyone knows that.
Congress and Speaker are not the same thing, you claim Trump endorsed Ryan for both. I asked 3 times for link to endorsement to speakership...and I got zip...
Can’t fix stupid.
Well thank you for finally getting it right!
You asked me to show you whether Trump had actually endorsed Ryan as opposed to merely saying that he supported him as Speaker and you asked me to provide a link.
I did that (twice) and that was my only point.
Take good care.
Sorry FRiend. Disagree. An election is the purest form of a litmus test when the endorsements in question relate to that election & a specific candidate.
Trump was wise to read the tea leaves and endorse Ryan.
I’m not saying Trump wasn’t.
To: bushwon
I guess you didnt hear, Trump ENDORSED Ryan. Trump had also endorsed Ryan for Speaker back in 2015.

I always “got it” that Trump endorsed Ryan last week for his primary election this year....You sent me links for that endorsement 2 or 3 times...As I said before, of course everyone knew Trump read a statement of endorsement for Ryan last week—as well as 2 other RINOS...McCain and Ayaotte...Duh...
What I ASKED YOU TO PROVIDE 2 or 3 times was a link showing proof that Ryan was ENDORSED by Trump for SPEAKER as you claimed. You never provided that....
That is the truth and I have your post claiming Trump did in 2015...Sorry, I don’t think he did.
impy
here another article about the groups spending money on CT primaries.
Charter Schools. The libs hate them and they cannot discipline their reps to agree. Is it a issue in CHI?
