Liberals wanted U.S. swimmer Michael Phelps to give up the honor of carrying the American flag and leading his countrys athletes at the opening ceremony for the Rio Olympic games Friday night.
Hes the wrong color and the wrong sex.
After Phelps was chosen by his fellow Olympians, the U.S. Olympic Team tweeted:
But coming in a close second to Phelps in the teams vote was Ibtihaj Muhammad, a woman, an African-American and a Muslim to boot.
What could be better, some thought. Diversity, you know.
Leading the pack of naysayers was W. Kamau Bell, host of CNNs United Shades of America. In a CNN op-ed, he described the swimming sensation as a tall, successful, rich white guy who clearly didnt need the honor.
With 22 Olympic medals, you are already the most decorated athlete in Olympic history, he said.
But American fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad is a different story.
Muhammad carrying the flag would be much bigger than your one moment, Bell writes. It would be a symbol for our country in this moment when we are mostly known for one of the most contentious, controversial, scandal-ridden, hateful, xenophobic, jingoistic, and just generally unlikable presidential elections in recent memory. This is at a time when we could use some more symbols of unity and togetherness.
Bell referred to Muhammad as a one-stop inclusion shop due to her race, sex and religion. Phelps, on the other hand was something else entirely.
No offense, but right now America has enough tall, successful, rich white guys hogging the spotlight trying to make America great, he said, in an obvious reference to Donald Trump.

She was prominently shown by NBC as the american athletes came into the stadium. She was just next to Phelps.
Probably NBC or their NWO IOC handlers.
"As a muslim woman I need a sport that will allow me to remain covered head to toe and also allow me to strike with deadly attacks. I know, fencing!"
He needs a bone through his nose to look more natural.

I should add that Michael Phelps has never carried the flag or gone to opening ceremony due to his previous years’ early morning swimming schedule...This was his first opportunity to do this in the 3 Olympics in which he has participated.
It truly is outrageous that some would say Phelps does not “need” to do this...he EARNED the right to do this.

Best at sports, OK.
Brightest? Uh, not so much. Maybe 10% of them have over a 110 IQ.
I respect them for tbeir considerable accomplishments, not tbeir intelligence or judgment.
I didn’t want Michael Phelps either. A big embarrassment to our country. However, that girl is not worthy either. Michael Phelps has RECENTLY been found to be a druggy and worse got a DUI. We want THAT representing our country????? I don’t think so. Maybe if his problems were 15 years ago ok but they were very recent. Oh and the baby mamma.....I guess our country is in the toilet morally anyway so that is fine.
Well, you have a right to your opinion, but I disagree.
This is a sporting event and he is the most decorated athlete in the history of the olympics. He has not carried the flag before...
He has paid the price, cleaned up his act...getting married and trying to be a good dad.
I figure, what more can be asked of him, and I am not going to judge.
A guy with 18 gold medals is not supposed to carry the U.S. Flag in the ceremony. Seriously?
How the hell does one pronounce ‘Ibthihaj’?
How the hell does one pronounce Ibthihaj?
And to further infiltrate us. There’s still a chance at resistance and the Left knows it. Islam even violates the Liberals’ own ideals hence all the subterfuge.
More sick shit from the enemedia trying to turn the Olympics into a political Progessivelollapaloza.
