We may already have our strangest and most amusing story to come out of the Rio Olympic games.
Paul Kelso, a journalist for Sky Sports in the UK, reported on Friday that an Olympic kayaker had capsized after hitting a submerged couch.

Good lord, these games are becoming a farce and a laughing stock for everyone involved—from the athletes, to NBC, to Rio, to Brazil, what a joke. Glad I have not (indeed cannot) watched a second of these games. Life goes on.....
you’d think they could at least get the furniture out of the race course.... But no, they’re probably running around saying “not my job”
You brought back memories with that ‘Castro Convertible” comment. Here’s their commercial jingle I used to hear back in the 60’s on the radio in NY.

But of course, if you criticize the Games, you’re a racist.
Just an example of what happens when a third-world nation on the brink of financial collapse is awarded such a high-profile event. All it does is hasten the downward spiral of the nation in question. Even an all-expense paid trip could not have persuaded me to sojurn to that cesspool of a country.
My understanding is that Olympic officials made numerous visits to Rio to check on the progress and cleanliness of high end escorts ... er ... I mean ... venues.
I've been to Compton. Compton is spotless compared to Rio.
The Olympic committee are a bunch of dumbshitz.
It doesn’t matter of they treat their country like an open cesspool, their opening extravaganza showed that Brazil is worried about global warming, so all is forgiven.
Now that brought back memories, not that particular commercial but the style and radio.
The is sofa king nasty
Yeh, right? — Its been decades since I heard that commercial jingle. its quite a catchy lil tune too.

Was he carrying a plant with him like some kinda cultist tool?
Well, at least the Games aren’t being played in Chicago!
could have gone to Chicago.
Chicago’s bid for 2016 Olympics leaves pricey legacy 7 years later

You argue "obstruction."
The ump shrugs his shoulders, and says "the obstruction was in the field of play."
I can’t imagine the health concerns of their restaurants near this stuff.
Don’t want to imagine it.
No, that still be on the road. In Havana it would the DDR Tribant.
I’ll bet even the nicer hotels there have bed bugs and cockroaches too.
I’m very serious
Yuck....
