even if they didn’t miss the couch, at least they avoided all the stools in the water.

Any money , drugs or dead bodies under the sofa cushions?
Better check before the news crew gets there.

Not funny to the kayaker who lost his chance at a medal. No excuse having debris in the water.

They all should be wearing HAZMAT suits, within 100ft of the water.

He survived the sofa.
It’s the water that’ll get him.

Horrible for that kayaker, what a way to lose your Olympic medal dream.... hope he will have some better memories just from being there.

No excuse having debris in the water. Did no one actually GO to Brazil to see if they could actually provide the venues needed? Was no one checking on progress on the venues; or the cleaning up of venues, before the games began?
To: Enchante
perhaps it was a Castro convertible.

Another dumb question.
They wouldn’t do it over or has such insanity never happened before so there’s no precedent

That’ll probably gain him a nice case of dysentery among other things. They shouldn't be putting these athletes anywhere near that filthy water. They shouldn't be holding these games in such a polluted cesspool of a city in the first place.
But really, the athletes and their coaches should know better and refuse to enter such filth.

Yes!
And if it was in Havana, it’d be a ‘57 Chevy.

Best Olympics ever.
They would have had better luck moving it to Compton at this rate.

The Rio officials promised to have it all cleaned up for the games. They had what? 6 yrs or so. They failed to keep their promise miserably. Really no surprise considering they’re 3rd worlders.

The charm of Brasil was always the feeling you were on the edge of the frontier and “anything goes”. Even in the middle of the city...

You know, Jerry had a (pretty nice-looking) sofa for only $50.
Don’t invite Poppy over, though.
