“Ultra right edition” means that any mention of phrases like “shall not be infringed” are printed in bold face.

Reading != comprehension; not that the plain English of the Const. requires so much abstract thought either...
Maybe (hope) some will get down to the 5th and 13th and start asking questions that won’t bode well for the next Town Hall meeting

The books notes and annotations are by W. Cleon Skousen, a rabidly anti-Communist ideologue who took to rewriting history to support his ultra-right, Bible-based theories.
1) I don't know about the "rabid" thing. It sounds like the kind of polemical phraseology that should have died when the Soviet Union passed on.
2) If you have to be rabid about something, anti-Communism isn't the worst option you could choose.
3) Sure, Skousen was a nut, but he took his main theory from Bill Clinton's old professor Carroll Quigley. There may have been more questionable additions, but in essence Skousen turned Quigley on his head, taking what Quigley said and calling what Quigley liked bad and what Quigley hated good.
