I have said more than four years on FR, that should Hilliary run for POTUS she will win regardless of who the GOP runs.
I stand by that prediction with no sense of I told you so nor happiness its simply a unfortunate fact.
Screen-shot this, emotionally I hope I am wrong but intellectually I know unfortunately I am right..
OK.
It’s no fact. It’s your opinion, or fear, for now. So, we’ll see.
Ya. I know,, I was pointing that out...
I’m not well revsered in the situation but Brownback seems to be unpopular for all the right reasons, the RINOs on a jihad against him. Because they want higher taxes?
Kansas’ 3-party system rears it’s head again.
OK, well, then I apologize....your comments on this thread would seem to indicate otherwise...Maybe it would be a good idea to try to support the nominee?
I have nothing nice to say about Cruz or his supporters, of which the incumbent Rep. was...Yeah he fiinally got on the Trump train...waaay late....
The pro-Cruz supporting incumbent was even referenced on Limbaugh as a pro-Cruz supporter big time, so it was not just “one blogger” as you put it...BTW, Conservative TreeHouse website (which you discounted) is fairly well received site for cutting edge research around here even if you didn’t like what they posted.
So I was wrong about you...well, you are wrong about me... please don’t count me in the “rest of y’all were supporting Cruz” because I NEVEr ever backed Cruz. I was active on the H-1B Visa ping—posted several articles...Cruz has been a big immigration proponent since day one, so no way could I support him.
Actually, I am proud to say that I supported Trump before he even announced...Told spouse I think he is running and it will be great...
I’m getting the feeling Freepers are slowly but surely becoming more liberal in social policies and becoming less conservative Christian.
It’s really sad, but I guess it reflects America as a whole.
Ed
I think the biggest thing that cost him was that pib Boner kicking him off the ag comittee. I used to live in Kansas (Larned) and believe me, farmers want strong representation the ag committees.
That, and the open-borders Chamber Of Commerce that wants people like Marshall elected.
It’s sad he lost, in my opinion. He was a good conservative.
Ed
I sometimes wonder if the Dems don’t have little black books filled with blackmail material to use against Republicans...else why would so many cave to the Dems??
Ed
But Marshall IS one of those self-same globalists, elected by the open borders CoC!
Ed
Wow, have Will, Bennett and Hewett actually said they’re voting for Hitlery?
Disgusting!
Ed
“Supercilious prig,” aren’t we supposed to refrain from personal attacks on fellow Freepers?
The venom here is getting really difficult to countenance. Surely we’re better than this...
Ed
That is so sad...thanks for posting that.
Ed
It is great news that one of only 12 GOP representatives who had the principles to vote against the pork-filled 2013 farm bill that had nothing to do with family farmers and everything to do with wasteful spending has been tossed aside in favor of a party hack who will go along with whatever Boehner, McCarthy, and McConnell want to do?
Great job on getting rid of one of the most vocal defenders of religious freedom and opponents of common core and amnesty.
This is like Thad Cochran all over again, only instead of getting the crossover democrat vote to save a RINO incumbent against a Tea Party challenger this time the party elites rallied to oust a conservative incumbent and replace him with a puppet of the so-called "leadership". Whoo Hoo! We got rid of another ally of Cruz! Guess what -- if you keep getting rid of the most conservative members of congress because they didn't support Trump enough for your liking, you'll be left with nothing but democrats and RINO's in Congress. Then lots of luck getting anything accomplished.
AND I hate that. So bad.
Understood, we are two Trump supporters :)
And I do understand if Huelskamp did not support the nominee, he deserves the vitriol he got. I just was not sure he didn’t support the nominee.
Still not too sure about the Conservative Treehouse - they said Huelskamp was “never Trump” and I still don’t see where he was. I know Marshall personally (sort of acquainted) and I’m certainly not impressed with the guy. He got after Huelskamp for not “going along” and stated that he “would go along” which doesn’t impress me. Maybe it will all turn out fine. It’s not my district anymore anyway, we recently moved to Missouri.
Go Trump!! :)
So say you.
Unfortunately missed read I do not except or believe any politicians that do not back Donald Trump 110%, blank check style, all the time until November.
Until then that will be my mode. Perhaps you could sell that view to some fellow travelers who are still grieving over the demise of the 16 never Trump failures and particularly those who are grieving the expungement of Ted Cruz from the party.
I am personally rejecting anyone or any communication that in anyway disagrees with or attempts to diminish my personal narrative regarding the excellence Mr. Donald J Trump. I am also personally backing anyone who demonstrates that rhinos like Paul Ryan are headed for the grinder.
Later dude! ( or dudette as the case may be).
I never supported Cruz, I was a Trump fan from way back, and I hope Ryan is Cantored out next Tuesday.
I just know Kansas politics. I used to live there and have always followed KS politics, and what happened was an almost clean sweep defeat of conservatives in Kansas primaries. It had nothing to do with Trump, and everything to do with his losing his ag committee seat, and the huge money dumped in all the pro-Brownback races.
The open-borders Chamber of Commerce wanted his scalp and they got it, along with many other good conservative Pubbies.
It was a very bad thing that happened in KS.
Oh, and I’m a Dude, as you can prolly tell by the appellation “Sir.” Dudettes aren’t “Sirs”!
Toodles...
Ed
Amen...
