The Veterans of Foreign Wars blasted Donald Trump on Monday for his comments about Ghazala Khan, the mother of a fallen Muslim Army captain, calling the Republican nominee "out of bounds."
“Election year or not, the VFW will not tolerate anyone berating a Gold Star family member for exercising his or her right of speech or expression,” said VFW leader Brian Duffy in a statement.
Story Continued BelowTrump said in his interview with ABC that aired Sunday that Ghazala Khan "wasn't allowed to have anything to say" as her husband, Khizr, criticized the Republican nominee at the Democratic National Convention last week.
“There are certain sacrosanct subjects that no amount of wordsmithing can repair once crossed,” Duffy said in the statement. “Giving one’s life to nation is the greatest sacrifice, followed closely by all Gold Star families, who have a right to make their voices heard.”

Apparently, the VFW missed Hillary Clinton calling Sean Smith’s mother a liar.
The point here is that if the family of someone who died in the service of this country wants to use that death for political purposes, they have to expect pushback. I don’t think that this is ideal, but certainly if it was OK for Hillary Clinton to do that, then it was also OK for Donald Trump to do it. There is literally no difference - and I am SICK AND TIRED of people only looking at one side.
The VFW should freaking now better than this.
Sounds like Brian Duffy needs to educate himself, because Trump never attacked anyone. He merely commented on her silence and wondered if it were because she was not allowed to speak. The father is in favor of Sharia Law, Brian, are you as well?
His son died 12 years ago. And they came to the USA when his son was 2.
That means it was about 30 years ago that they came to this country.
What does immigration policy of 30 years ago have to do with it today? Mulsims had not even flown a plane into the twin towers yet...

Common knowledge that National Review can’t stand Trump, don’t know about American Thinker. But, as usual, a brief look at some of the clowns the Dems and Clintons put out there usually reveals some complete and utter BS.
