When they decided to print special collectors covers for the magazines September issue, all about icons of change, the publishers of Elle knew immediately who the stars should be: the actors Kristen Stewart and Amandla Stenberg, both of whom have made headlines for their refusal to conform to traditional notions of sexuality; the singer Zayn Malik, who walked away from One Direction, the biggest pop band in the world, at the height of its fame; and the transgender model Hari Nef.
Nefs cover is arguably the most radical of the four. It marks the first time a transgender woman has been on the cover of a major commercial British magazine. But beyond that it showcases 23-year-old Nefs striking, singular beauty, the way in which she combines the stylish androgyny of a 60s French starlet with the heavy-lidded gaze of a silent-era movie star. One way to get noticed. Both for the mag and the guy.
Hehehehe! I say Yes!
Why do people feel the need to entertain the delusions of these poor people. There is nothing to celebrate about someone who is mentally ill and decides to slice and dice their body.
In addition to modeling, this guy has invented a new grocery option: the Hari Nefsack.
Dude looks like a lady ..
So delusional. Whoever wrote that description is living in a fantasy world, just like the cover dude.
I have heard of a group called One Direction, but I have never heard of any of these people, including the mentally-ill young man pictured here.
Yep!!!
Thank you.
Poor demented fellow. He needs help and compassion, not to be exploited economically and politically. He is suffering from a serious psychiatric disorder.
That is Zachary Quinto in drag.
Transgender is fiction. Nobody is born in the wrong body. If someone thinks he is Napoleon, nobody is going to give him a horse and direct him to France. They will get him some help for his mental disorder. Why do people bow down to this nonsense? If one is born male, he is male.
Hari, ROTFLMAO
I didn’t think he had any work done, Drew.
He had let his hair grow and applied makeup trying to look like a girl- but failed. He still looked like a boy. :)
