Senator Ted Cruz has a very bad future ahead of him. Right now, hes only viewed favorably by twenty-eight percent of his own party, compared to sixty-eight percent of people who view him extremely unfavorably. If youre going on the stage to speak, you get behind our nominee. You dont stay in the bunk below. You get up and you fight...

Donald Trump has already made his mark on history. He destroyed the political careers of Jeb Bush and Ted Cruz...just to name two. He singlehandedly changed the Republican Party forever and changed outcome of future elections just by running.
I really don’t believe “it was a fall from grace”. I initially supported Ted even here on FR because I liked what I heard but then something in me wanted to start digging in on him to see if he was truly the dealio.
He wasn’t and he’s as dirty as they come. He was a total operative and that’s when I switched to supporting The Donald. I initally liked the The Donald because he was self-funded but wasn’t on message with him at the time.
Once I found out the ties Cruz had to the Bush family I scrambled & voted for The Donald in the primaries.
In essence, Lyin Ted cRuz HAS endorsed Hitlery.
Talk about a YUGE miscalculation....losing TWO careers over his own ego.
I don’t usually agree with John Cornball, on much, either.
That would serve them both right!!
If Hillary wins both will run again in 2020, maybe even if she doesn't. Both too egotistical to know their done.

See #43. Heidi can be Rafael's call screener.
As I said before, they have a real future as late night televangelists. “Send five, ten, one hundred, whatever you can afford!”
Amazing how Gary Hart’s electoral career could be ended by one bimbo photo, yet Bill Clinton managed to brazen it out through so many endless scandals, lawsuits and perjuries, etc. etc. etc. Gary Hart must have looked at that Chutzpah and just shaken his head many times......
I also have read a lot of Roger Stone’s books, too.
At one time he worked for The Donald.
He published a book entitled JEB! after reading that & finding out Neil Bush was on Ted Cruz’s financial committee I became disgusted.

What’s amazing is that Cruz went to Princeton and Harvard Law...and he’s still not as smart as the average American conservative.
Maybe.
But don’t forget 1962,
“You won’t have Nixon to kick around anymore....”

Never count a good man out.
Lol, good list.
He could do everything you posted @ 13 and he is still done politically and I supported him. However, I always had a nagging doubt he could win nationally because of what you wrote in 13 - he just never seemed to have charisma and that is a major handicap in national politics. I also had some caution over the dislike of Cruz by most of his peers. There have been plenty of strong conservatives who were liked by their peers who did not agree with them.
Watching Cruz with his family was sad and enlightening. I have a genuine affection with my children. My friends have a genuine affection with their children. Cruz does not appear to have that. There is something wrong with his family dynamic. His actions during the latter half of the campaign when he left his scripted adult routine and veered off into the twilight zone also confirmed this.
I don’t think Cruz will keep his Senate seat. Might be the best thing that could happen for him. He put himself before the greater good - that tells me all I need to know. Texans have probably picked up on all of this better than most.
I’m still about as ticked with Cruz as I could be, but make no mistake.... the man is brilliant.
However, as we all just saw - he is about as inept as one can be socially.
I want to like Ted Cruz, but he hurt himself by not endorsing Trump.
I imagine he is just thinking about which path he has to take to get there

For those who are interested, here is an explanation of Dominionism.
Dominionism teaches:
The Gospel of Salvation is achieved by setting up the "Kingdom of God" as a literal and physical kingdom to be "advanced" on Earth in the present age.
Some dominionists liken the New Testament Kingdom to the Old Testament Israel in ways that justify taking up the sword, or other methods of punitive judgment, to war against enemies of their kingdom.
Dominionists teach that men can be coerced or compelled to enter the kingdom.
They assign to the Church duties and rights that belong Scripturally only to Jesus Christ. This includes the esoteric belief that believers can "incarnate" Christ and function as His body on Earth (where have we heard that?) to establish His kingdom rule.
An inordinate emphasis is placed on man's efforts; the doctrine of the sovereignty of God is diminished.
I think he thinks Trump will fail, and he’ll say “See, I told you so.”
