I lost a very dear friend a couple of weeks ago.

He was a drummer.

A collector of vinyl

An all around music guy. He died at the tender age of 57

I asked him once what his favorite song might be. While he mentioned tons of songs ,he said his favorite was

I think it had something to do do with the drum solo.

*This was one of the first recordings made by Roy Orbison
at Sun Records in Clovis, NM.
He was still a teen living in Wink, Texas.
Our church songleader played in that band and has some
really cool stories to tell of the things they did
before Roy got "big" and the people he met at those early venues.*

Sorry to hear you have a headache. That sure takes the fun out of everything, doesn’t it?

Yes, we went out for a little while, as usual. came home fairly early though. They have karaoke on Fri. nights and it can be hard to bear. Tonight’s “singers” were really bad so we all bolted. LOL

Nope. No rain. What was to our west and headed this way fizzled out at I-65 AGAIN. *sigh*

Good night and sleep well. I hope the headache is gone when you wake up.
