Fifty animals have died of hunger in one of Venezuela's main zoos because of a chronic shortage of food. The fatalities at the Caricuao zoo in Caracas include Vietnamese pigs, tapirs, rabbits and birds, some of whom had not been fed for two weeks. Man, Oh man. Even the Paris Commune ate their zoo animals. I guess the only rats in Caracas eating these days live in palaces, guarded by Cuban soldiers.

NO EXCUSE. The ba____ds could have arranged to ship them to other zoos. Let those responsible starve slowly to death.

Capitalism is the unequal distribution of money.
Socialism is the equal distribution of misery.
Even the animals suffer.

As a zoo is essentially a prison for animals, I would expect the same to happen in prisons for humans as this accelerates.
